Nick or Zach would be great replacements imo if Dre did leave. Zach played at a level as high as Fred Warner this year according to PFF and I think he could replicate that under Saleh since he started as a LB coach. Baun's market is around 2 years 19.5 mil (9.7mil per year) which I think is in the 49ers market.

But only reason Baun is a one year wonder, because Saints had him as back up and Special Teams. In his first full season as a starter he has 151 total tackles, 3.5 sacks and 2 INT's. That's just as good as Fred Warner and better than Greenlaw's best season. Nick Bolton had a similar season to Baun.

Honestly, even though I said the team should part ways with Greenlaw, I hope he re-signs. The defense is just a different animal when he's on the field.

So you would take Baun over Warner also and base it all on a one year performance?

nah, I take the for sure guy in Bolton and let Baun try to do that two years in a row somewhere else
