Got it. Sign a backup TE and let Dre go
Hopefully this signing keeps Kittle fresh / healthy and used more for the weapon he is, especially come SB time
Bet he can't be an emergency holder for FGs
Wrong Jags TE. Fail.
Not exactly an exciting addition.

Denver tomorrow
Starting to see some content guys do some film on him. Great blocker. Could be a big help in jump starting our offense. Might be an underrated signing. Also, not a lot of pass targets, but the catch rate is pretty high, so he might be able to add a little to the pass game.

Cutting Juice certainly points to it. Kid isn't much of a receiver and recognized for his blocking.

He was TE #3 on a horrific Jags team, how good can he be?

He also had 3 head coaches and multiple OCs under the Baalke regime. It's an underrated deterrent for player development - he now gets some stability wi the 49ers.

I don't love the value of the contract, but it finally gives us stability after we have had patch work signings for our blocking TE role. And given Juice's departure, maybe Farrell will player a bigger role than expected.
