A solid Jayiar Brown backup. More of the same.
What does his contract look like?

1 year deal?
Needle moved zero.
Ruthless efficiency.
Maybe the glass half full is a solid improvement on special teams next year with this ace. Does he block well on kickoff returns? I know we're not done acquiring players, but he could get many opportunities on the kickoff return team.

I was gonna say ST is also needed

well that's certainly a signing

In the history of NFL free agent signings, it certainly is one of them.

In all honesty, good signing. We need depth at safety and special teams coverage. We dont have enough draft capital to fill needs so we are going to have to plug some holes with low value contracts.

Huh? 11 picks and 4 in the top 100. That's pretty good.

Sure but we lost Deebo, Ward, Greenlaw, Banks, Juice, Hufanaga, Moore, Mitchell, Hargraves, Collins.

Our WR group needs improvement. The D Line needs an overhaul. The O Line needs help at multiple positions. We need a starting caliber LB. We need help and likely a starter at CB. We need more than 4 impact players.

We needed a depth safety piece. And even if Grant doesnt move the needle, thats a 5th round pick that doesnt need to be spent there. Its a pick that can be used to move up. Thats why I like the signing.

We have a bunch of late round picks for to use on development players that can start off playing special teams.

Is this guy even good on special teams or is he a backup safety that isn't that good?
