In all honesty, good signing. We need depth at safety and special teams coverage. We dont have enough draft capital to fill needs so we are going to have to plug some holes with low value contracts.

We have a bunch of late round picks for to use on development players that can start off playing special teams.

Is this guy even good on special teams or is he a backup safety that isn't that good?
Sounds like he's nothing more than a warm body that can't tackle, seems like there'd have been more value in filling this spot with udfa.

Why don't you spend a few minutes researching instead of just crying and criticizing

I did and it doesn't look like he is a good safety or a standout special teams player.

Seriously. Or Blackmon or Simmons. Do it!!!

also get a DT, we have 0 starters, we have to get one today

There aren't any DT's worth signing already, they're all 30 and up.
Special Teams, go with Farmer Fran, do some laps

You seem obsessed
Special teams jack (not an Ace, but a jack)

3rd string back up safety at best and maybe Daniel Bullocks can squeeze a tiny drop of saliva if need be

A hair or porcupine quilt (maybe two quilts) faster than Hufanga, which ain't saying sh!t unless we're doing tests by millimeters

This guy might be one of the worst tacklers I've seen. He's the Lil Jon of tackling. Like just when you think he's going to make an incredible tackle and bury someone behind the line of scrimmage, he just doesn't and they go on to pickup ten yards instead.

.

2022
123 tackles, 2 INT, 7 PD, 1 FF, 1 FR, 3 TFL

2023
103 tackles, 1 INT, 6 PD, 2 FR , 3 TFL

What am I missing? Those are Pro-Bowl safety numbers

Richie Grant's one-year contract with the 49ers is worth up to $1.5 million with $200,000 guaranteed, according to @TomPelissero

that's the players we're gonna get this off season.

At least your boys got paid. Food on the table!

Instead of criticizing those who don't like it, why don't you tell us why this signing DOESNT warrant the panning it's getting?

We had to make sure Brown wasn't the worst tackling safety on the team anymore.
