The 1 year cheap deal makes it no big deal. If he fails he's easily jettisoned.

This seems like a special teams signing to me but idk much about him. Did he play special teams?

lol in Pinnocks defense… the whole giants team was a dumpster fire. Hard to play good when everything is on fire around you.

Txt from my NYG buddy….

"I can promise you that you're not going to like Pinnock"

Lol that doesn't sound good at all.

Throughout history, every fan says that about players who left their team. It literally happens with everyone

I also do believe in a change of scenery could be a good thing too.

Not really. If someone from Denver asked any 49er fan about Greenlaw they would get glowing reviews. Same thing about DJ Jones when he left.

I don't think they mean every player. You going to the Packers forum to praise the Aaron Banks contract? Or the Commanders forum to let them know how great Kinlaw is?

Fans from other teams typically have no reason to lie about former players is my point. They won't just automatically say X player sucks because he's no longer on the team.

Anyway, let's see how he does. I actually think this guy has legit potential.

So i just found a reddit forum where a lot of Giants fans thought he was pretty reliable. I found a SI.com article about him which mentioned he had a solid 2023 campaign but struggled in 2024 under a new scheme that didnt fit his strengths. He also led the team in tackles throughout most of the year.

Also he spent a lot of times on special teams especially early in in his career. When he won the starting safety position his ST snaps dropped.

Looks like we will have a good safety battle and i think Pinnock has a good chance to win it. Seems like he's more reliable especially when it comes to tackling which J Brown struggled with.

He can also cover the slot. So safety, slot, and ST duties on a 1 year prove it deal to compete with Brown or be that 3rd S in certain formations. It's a smart budget signing.
