Not the Jennings replacement, the Bourne replacement that took 2 years to sort out.

Yeah I don't see him as a Jennings replacement. We just have two big, strong, clutch guys to thrown to now and help in the run game. It's good duo to have to get back to the ball we are good at

Robinson reminds me of a better route running version of Jennings, is that accurate? (FYI I love Jennings and don't mean that in a bad way. He's a dawg but never struck me as necessarily talented).

I like the idea of bully ball with Jennings, Aiyuk, Kittle, and Robinson in the field with CMC in the back.
How is Jennings not talented?

Talented relative to most WRs. He's super athletic compared to most people in general.

jennings is someone that if you broke down each catagory of a WR, he would be average or slow at just about everything besides toughness, strength, size, and clutch. Which are great things to be awesome at. He's a dawg though and through passion and toughness, makes him happen. It's awesome to see and a great #3 or maybe 2 to have. I think he's best fit for a 3 role. His third down mental strength is exceptional
You don't do the things he does at this level lacking talent.
He gets great separation. Did very well vs phillys cbs. Schooled Mitchell. JJ may be gone after next year so this signing may be a valuable one

Looks like he will miss part of the season due to suspension. So we're starting the season without him and Aiyuk.
Are we sleeping on this signing? I almost forgot we signed him.

I'd extend Jennings.

1. Insurance in case Aiyuk doesn't make a full comeback.
2. Assuming Pearsall pans out, he and Aiyuk's deal expire at the same time.
3. In case Aiyuk makes a full comeback, we have three really good receivers for years to come.
4. You can't expect to go out and find another Jauan Jennings
5. It's a good look. Reward guys who stepped up after being paid. I think Jennings can be a 700 yard + guy for years to come. Add in his blocking and limited opportunities, as well last the attitude he brings to the receiver room, he represents all we want to be about on offense.
Has more playoff games than anyone on our roster👍
I'm honestly not concerned with our depth at the position at all. Robinson would be battling for the #4 spot anyway.

Totally agree.

He's the best we have and a true leader.

He won't have to do much to adjust to the system since it's basically the same. Production wasn't all that much less than Deebo.

I hope they sign another veteran since Robinson might miss the first 3-6 games. I'm really hoping for Amari Cooper on a two year deal, only because I'm not confident in Aiyuk starting the season.

Seems like a pretty well rounded WR. Gets open, good size, hands, toughness. What's not to like

I like the signing. But I thought the plan was to get younger. Then they go sign a 30 year old.

He'll be released before the season is over or sometime next year

48.4% catch percentage last season...compared to Deebo at 63%. YAC avg for Robinson per reception is 2.3...Deebo is 8.3 as his lowest season. He's more a twin J.Jennings type of receiver...not sure we needed another one of those to play the same role.
