Dude please, even tho Mac Jones mid he's shown more and better than freaking Allen and Dobbs.
Kyle gets the guy he probably wanted all along.

Bahaahahah NYniner so f**king mad right now

Unless he's gonna be our starter, then I don't see why. He's fine a backup. Even tho I can't stand his personality lol. Hopefully he's matured a bit.

I'm fine with him as a backup. Agreed with his personality but he's a talented QB who if forced into playing wont absolutely suck

Talented? I mean he's an NFL QB so he does have talent I suppose lol. But he's got an average arm, average athletic ability, average size. And when it comes to things like pocket presence, field awareness, other intangibles, nothing stands out remotely.

This could really get interesting with Brock now.

Yup. That front office is not going to let Brock and his agent push them for insane numbers and the fact it's 2 years not your typical 1 let me learn and build my value sitting under Kyle and find a QB needy team to give me a shot
Nobody saying it but I will to stir the pot…….

If Brock is demanding too much or threatens to hold out……this is actually a good way to get his ass thinking too. With all the history of the 49ers debating him being the pick that they traded up for. Things just got interesting lol.

That said; f**k Mac Jones they better run with Purdy

Maybe ever so slightly but I doubt this plays much of a role.

I kinda want to see him play under Shanahan.
They finally got the mock draft right, only four years later

Reminder:

"I remember coming back from Ohio State, and Justin Fields had had a fantastic workout," Lynch told Collinsworth. "But on the way back, we're on the plane — Jed (York) was nice enough to get us a plane — and Kyle's on his iPad with that [Apple] Pencil, and he's just grinding over there.

"Finally, he said, 'Look at this.' I was wondering what he was doing. Well, he was drawing up stuff with Trey in mind. We had just come from Justin Fields' (workout), and we both agreed his workout was fantastic. But that's when I said, 'He's really all in on this.' And the excitement he had, because he's doodling there, drawing up plays with Trey in mind."

Lynch and Shanahan felt this was a strong rookie quarterback class, so if they were going to consider a shakeup in the quarterback room, this was the perfect offseason to do so.

"We really had started focusing in on Trey, myself, and Kyle, as the guy that we were very much interested in," Lynch said. "So we make that move from 12. We called teams. We didn't call Jacksonville at one. We talked to the Jets a little at two. We talked to Miami at three. I have a very good relationship with (Dolphins GM) Chris Grier. That one showed promise right away. They were interested.

Lynch was glad that Shanahan was so high on Lance early on because that's the quarterback the general manager loved too. Still, both committed to seeing the process through. While they were in love with Lance's film, they wanted to see the quarterback in person. They also wanted to listen to what their scouting staff and coaches had to say and do their homework on the other prospects.

Then there's also the story that Lynch told how early on in the process both agreed to not reveal who they wanted, and Kyle went first and said it was Lance and Lynch was happy because they were both in agreement. This stupid s**t that Florio and Sims pushed was absolute bs, I don't why people keep pushing that b******t story from them.

Pretty good insurance, he played some pretty decent ball for Jacksonville last year. Hopefully he will just be the backup but pretty good #2.
This is pretty irrelevant but just makes me think what if we actually saved our 2 first rounders and took him. The team would probably be substantially different.
