You're not walking with 3 starters plus depth in one draft.
You need veterans to help guide and take pressure off rookies.

I think he will be pretty decent. Probably better than he has been with room for improvement

Both Purdy and McCorkle can be good if the talent around them is very good but they won't mask the defficiencies if the roster is average.

Basically the production won't change for the better of worse.

Yes there would be. There isn't a single thing Mac does better than Purdy.

My only concern is Mac hurting Purdy Tonya Harding style.

Brock is a natural competitor, I think Mac can push him a bit. Always better to have a competitive QB room. Dobbs and Allen were not that.

Not these fairytales again. Kyle has already told the Cabo story and watched all of Lance film and was blown away. Made a copy for John and sent. They came together instantly it was Lance. Maybe he was drunk in Cabo. I don't know.

There was no infighting and Kyle overruled to take Lance. Back then the overruling was done by Kyle. He would have said blow off. It's Jones.

lol I'm mainly playing around but if I was Kyle - I'd never admit you were blown away with his film and made arguably the worst trade in nfl history over your review of his film. Lmaoo if that is true then he def shouldn't be allowed any where near the draft board. There was nothing "blown away" about his film unless you were playing make believe and projecting him in your dreams.

idk what the real story is but I think there is more to this story than we know right now. Won't come out for a long long time.

I don't think Kyle was "over ruled". I think he liked what he saw from both, but his preference was a "Matt Ryan" type qb. He eventually convinced himself that the raw prospect with "upside" would be worth it and upper management liked it from a business perspective. Drafting Mac jones wouldn't have been exciting at the time cause we had Jimmy and no one really thought Mac would be miles better than jimmy.

Can we add this to the end of the original Mac Jones draft thread and keep in in Niner Talk?
