Good for a West Coast or timing type offense, not afraid to stand in there and take a hit

He will have his opportunity to demonstrate to us how well he holds the clipboard and proves he deserves to stick around. Good luck young fella!

He kind of looks like John Mayer and there are tons of Deadheads in the Bay Area

I remember people asking "why?" the last time we took a QB in the 7th.

I agree, great scheme fit.
Decisive, calm under pressure, mobile, great arm, accurate, productive, and helped turn around a terrible Indiana program to get to the CFB playoff for the first time ever.
The big negative? Durability. Long list of injuries and coming off a torn ACL.

Had a passer rating of 176 on a torn ACL. Your days are numbered Brock Purdy!

Is he ready for training camp or is it a red shirt year?

Well according to NFL he may be asked to return kicks, kickoff, or block on ST 😂
Pre-Draft Grade:
Rourke earned a pre-draft grade of 5.82 from NFL.com, which equates to an "average backup or special-teams player," per the site's 8-point grading scale.

Someone to compete with Tanner Mordecai for the third QB in 2026 (will be on IR in 2025). Guy who loses that competition goes to PS.
