I view the teams core players below.

Purdy, CMC, Juice, Deebo, BA, Kittle, Trent, Banks, Bosa, Hargrave, Armstead, Warner, Greenlaw, Ward, & Hufanga

For 2024 we're probably going to be anywhere from $20M-$30M over, I know that sounds bad, but here's how the team IMO will be able to keep those core players around long term.

They'll extend Dre, Mooney, & AA in 2024, saving $27.668M, redo Deebo, which saves $15.8M, over $43M saved right there, then extend BA in August 2024, same with Hufanga(who will see his base salary escalate from $1.055M to around $4.901M), we probably save cap room by extending BA, might need to use some to extend Hufanga, we may not be active like in FA in 2024 like we were this year, meaning no big splash, just can't afford doing that every year. Also Banks is eligible for a new deal after 2023.

Now in 2025 those 3 players I mentioned to be extended cost us over $20.8M in potential dead money, so by extending them next year we can get those 3 players' 2025 cap numbers to be around that $20.8M total amount, we'll have around $50M-$70M in cap room in 2025, so don't worry, please, we won't lose our core guys.

I needed some good wank bank material, appreciate it.

Does the restructuring pass the pain down the road?

It could, but my philosophy is to only redo contracts of players you view as long term core players, so no, it wouldn't be pain down the road on the cap IMO.

49ers 2024 cap:

Debo 28.5mil, Trent 28mil, armstead 25.8mil, Warner 24.4mil, Kittle 19.8mil, ward 17.9mil, Hargrave 15.5mil, McCaffrey 14.1mil, Aiyuk 14.1mil, Greenlaw 9.6mil, Juszczyk 7.5mil

12 guys take 4/5ths of the 49er cap, by my rough estimates. 😳😳😳
With 25M in cap space this year they may be creating some money for a midseason trade. Even a 1year rental player to help us win the SB. I think our CB group is deep but outside mooney our starters are questionable (I like ambry, Lenoir and Womack but I don't think any have shown to be a great starter yet although all are young)

Brian Burns for 1 year may be a possibility too with him holding out but I doubt it plus I'm excited and I think Jackson will have a great year he flashed a lot in his rookie year

All of this. Let's hope the cap goes up like it's supposed to b/c TW cap hits are crazy.

Kittle and TW restructured their deals. Kittle's cap hit for 2024 is now 21.9. And for TW it's 31.6. the wallet is wide open.

It won't be that bad, just restructure Deebo, saves over $15.8M, extend Dre, Mooney, & Armstead, save $27.668M, over $43M saved there, likely won't be big time spenders, likely bring in 1yr deal guys like we've been doing, plus have 12 draft picks.

19 mil dead cap comes off the books in 2024 (paying players not playing on the 49ers anymore)

We dont need Armstead for 25.8 millions in 2024. We already have Hargrave better than Armstead. Armstead is nothing top rank defense.. we should cut or release him next season..keep safe for salary cap space..

Damn that's way too much for Debo next year. He better step up this year and prove his worth.
This is insane
