Yeah I saw OTC, but Bosa got a $50M signing bonus, so we have to wait and see structure of Bosa's deal to be sure of their current cap room.

What I don't get is why do restructures now? You can do all this next yr and still have that cap flexibility going into 2024. You get a full season of play and an idea if these guys are all worth restructuring and pushing more money down the road. IMO you really do this to extend someone else or trade for someone now.

of course we all gotta see the structure of Bosa's deal first.

Better to have the flexibility this season IMO. If an injury happens or a player becomes available it'd be nice to be able to pull the trigger on a move.

Yeah but if AA Kittle Trent or whomever they restructured gets seriously hurt you're essentially stuck with their contract longer now. Restructuring is great for the now. It hurts you down the road, especially with older players.

Example look at Dee Ford, we're still dealing with his cap ramifications and he hasn't done anything really since 2019. They restructured his deal a couple times.

I just don't see the point in doing it unless there's a purpose….it's not like they can't restructure any of these deals once a move has been made.

I'm all for it if there's an actual purpose like getting a guy or extending someone. Maybe it's because of Bosa's contract which is pretty wild if they need to clear that much space for his deal right now

If it's to have a bunch of cap space in September? I don't see the point in that at all. You can restructure these guys next yr or as need if you do make a move.

I'll go ahead and trust the guys who have kept us more than cap-healthy for well over a decade rather than lend credence to some chicken little on a forum.

Bad take, Ford hasn't nearly played as much as the guys who restructured.

and his restructure hasn't hurt us

When has Paraag hurt this team? He is elite at this. Let him work. You have zero reason to doubt him. None.

Chicken little? Jesus man we're just having a convo no need to get so defensive about it

Someone is just hurt and now wants to bash the team lol

Hasn't helped us at all, that's for sure… Dude hasn't helped us really since coming here. You can toss richburg and Alexander in that bucket as well.

Again what's the point in clearing so much cap space in September? Hopefully it's to make a move, if not I don't really see the point.

I'm just having a convo. You don't have to blindly love everything they do. It's okay to be objective every once in a while. I love most of the stuff they do.

also quit making s**t personal. I'm not doing that. I'm asking what the point in doing all of it? You just got butthurt because I questioned it. I don't hate it if there's a motive behind it besides just having cap space in 2024.
