How do you guys feel about trading for Mike Evans? With him and Aiyuk on the outside and Deebo/CMC rotating Slot/Rb, and Kittle doing his thing. Unstoppable offense.

Eh, I'd rather us get another pass rusher or a better olineman.

id like to see us nab Joey bosa, Josh Sweat, or Danielle Hunter. Our starting d line is great but our depth is sketchy right now. If we add another stud, we will be able to break the sack record!

i think we have great depth on the offensive skill positions (outside of TE).

yes he most certainly is going to be on the books in 25, 26 and 27. Go look at his contract on OTC.

Him opting out or retiring does not negative all of his cap hit. Go look at Brees and Romo's DM hits when they retired…it's doesn't go to zero.

The Bucs have a massive cap hit this year because of Brady too. I think it's the bucs & rams with the largest dead cap hits. At about $75M apiece

now those moves of paying player surely not going play are bad moves

AA has no cap hit and off the books if released before 26
if Trent retires, we're not paying him 30+ year in dead cap

we have 40 mil to roll over right now
an extra 25 off the books starting next year (dead money + Kinlaw gone)
so around 60mill + cap increase % if we don't spend on additions to get even stronger next year

How did I make it personal? I asked a question. You immediately made it personal about me and got all defensive. You do it all the time because you take s**t personal in here. Creating cap space right now for 2024? You can do that s**t next yr all the same. Doing it in September doesn't make sense unless it to trade for someone, have a massive cap hit for Bosa or give someone else an extension.

AA has DEAD MONEY in 2026 and 2027. Of course he doesn't have a cap hit, he's not on the team. That's what dead money is.

no you are paying Trent if he retires that's how it works. Go look at Brady, Brees, Romo Luke Kuechly etc. that cap hit, which is now DM doesn't disappear because of retirement.

no we do not have extra money because of Kin and less DM in 2024. That isn't new cap relief. It was never on the books to begin with. Trying to add that to the current cap space is not how it works. That's like saying we got an extra $5M in cap space this yr because Robbie isn't on the team …he was NEVER under contract this yr to begin with.

Why not? Not like they'd do anything good with a 1st rounder in the draft. Threw 3 1st rounders away for a 2 year rental in TL.

IMO, getting a top tier OLine guy would be optimal.

We'll all know better after this Sunday's performance.

TJ Watt and others will be relentlessly attacking the right side of the OLine.

Sure, getting a top DE wouldn't hurt either or a top level DB for that matter.

But, IMO, the OLine is still the biggest question mark about the team.

OT or CB is the move I'd make. Otherwise roll it over.

there are a bunch of high quality pass rushers - burns, sweat, Hunter, chandler jones etc. i hope we get one of those guys. Would be amazing. I really like Drake but having another stud would be awesome

What is it going to cost to extend Hufanga? He's going into year 3 and will be up for an extension next year. If he has another pro-bowl season I wonder what his asking price will be.

Most fans don't pay much attention to other teams around the league. If they did, they'd understand why it makes sense to load up the DL with great pass rushers. OL play is horrible across the league and we should continue to take advantage of it.
