Ridiculous indeed. Someone should be losing their job over this.

I dont either but every website just assumes we will I guess. Kind of odd that websites like https://www.spotrac.com/ should be showing you everyone that is under contract. Even before the season ended, a bunch of websites listed Gregory as a FA which isn't technically true even though I guess its a given we'll cut him and not pay the 10mil.

Maybe they're trying to keep him with a restructure?
Randy Gregory's deal was voided when we traded for him, it eliminated his 2024-2026 contract years, he's a UFA.

And he's on his way to Seattle now for a visit.

AB, besides an Aiyuk extension, where else can we gain some additional money with restructures or cuts to sign additional FA's?

Oh really? Was that a special clause in his contract or something? Haven't heard of that before.

Ah! I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the clarity, AB!

We got a worse penalty than tha Atlanta Falcons did for piping in sound during a playoff game.
I remember reading a report last year we were near the top in salary cap space after restructures. I thought we had like 40 Mil in cap space so I'm confused.

That was to roll over for the new contracts kicking in this year. It was pretty damn good work
AB why would they extend Kittle and Hargrave over Mooney, Deebo, or Fred? Seems a lot smarter to restructure the younger guys who will be with the team longer than guys in there 30's.

There are a lot of crappy contracts in my opinion. So many void years like Campbell that we are going to be paying until 2028. Those small hits really add up and into what could be a good player.

I get why as a team we had to structure a lot of these deals this way though. We're damn near all in this year(again) giving the age and contracts of a lot of our players.
