Completely agree, thanks for doing this AB.

Wonder what we can do with the remaining $7.5 million. Would be nice to get a few 2 year deals with a safety and CB.
We will need A good chunk of it to sign our draft picks
Yup, thanks AB! You're a freaking genius with this stuff.

Side note, where's my boy Waterbear at? Now can you get over the Odom deal

There are a lot of crappy contracts in my opinion. So many void years like Campbell that we are going to be paying until 2028. Those small hits really add up and into what could be a good player.

I get why as a team we had to structure a lot of these deals this way though. We're damn near all in this year(again) giving the age and contracts of a lot of our players.

Yea it's a dicey mix. Not to mention the restructuring of over 30 vets. Once they pay Brock the roster will be vastly different. It's definitely a major win now mode season.

That's what the $18 million can be used for. Hope we can get a little more secondary help soon.

Actually because of the top 51 rule they'll only need like $2m-$3m of it as the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd rd picks would count, the remaining 7 picks would only count as their prorated bonus, not their cap number, when September comes then we'll need to have it all, but that's a whiles away.

I expect the $18m gets carried over to 2025, they should save around $7m from an Aiyuk extension, they will only need $5m for in season roster moves/emergency moves if/when players go on IR.

I think any DB signed would be a 1yr deal unless they get someone for super cheap. They need to keep 2025 & beyond's cap in mind, they're fine now for 2025, they'll carryover $18m or more IMO, plus they'll get credits/adjustments like they always do every year. BA, Brock, Mooney, & maybe Dre are the main 4 extension candidates, Dre if he comes back strong, Brock can't be until 2025 anyway.

We won't be paying on the cap for Campbell & Yiadom till 2028, the rest of their prorated bonuses go on the 2025 cap unless an extension is reached before the deal voids. The most dead can spread out is over 2yrs, like Armstead.

So even for void years?

Let's take Campbell so I can understand this correctly. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/devondre-campbell-19069/

1 year deal. Has 4 void years, so 5 years total. The link above is showing a cap hits of:
2024 - 2.2 mil
2025 - 2.68
2026 - 670k
2027 - 670k
2028 - 670k

Lets say he plays this year and walks. We then only have dead money next year? And that amount would be 2.68mil? What exactly is the point of these multiple void years if it just rolls into one?

The $2.68m becomes dead money, reason for 4 void yrs is to prorate the bonus over the max of 5yrs.
good stuffs AB!
