Depending on who wins the Sharks/Ducks series, I think the Nucks could be sent packing. If the Sharks win, the Nucks are sent home next round... They will match up against Detroit, and they wont make a lot of the mistakes the Blues made (1st goal in game 4 is an example). And their PP will capitalize on their opportunities unlike the Blues. They have the best blueline in the playoffs (offensively) and 3 disgusting lines. I dont see Van being able to skate with them and hold them off the score sheet

On the other hand, id take Luongo and Van in a 7 game series vs the Hawks or Flames, if the Ducks win.

C'mon now, give my boys some love. Det has been avg for the last half of the year and theyre goalie situation is suspect.

Van on the other hand has peaked at the right time and has the best goalie in the world playin out of his mind.

Regardless of who we face, I feel Van will advance.

I dunno man... we'll see. Really, in game 3 and 4 the Blues outplayed Van and we're bailed out by Luo (and the ref with his imaginary whistle in game 4 ). And in the 1st game outplayed Van 2 of the 3 periods. Van won 3 of the games by 1 goal.. Luo was just lights out in the series. Cant take nothing away from him.

Blues killed themselves IMO though. It came down to costly turnovers from a young team and lack of PP production which had a lot to do with no threat from the point. Detroit on the other hand is experienced, have 3 D men that had 50+ points, have 3 big bodies in Holmstrom, Franzen and Cleary who like to bang infront of the net and are just mopping the floor with the Blue Jackets with Osgood looking like last year (as he said, he didnt win 3 cups and all-time Wings playoff win leader cuz he stinks..... I still think he stinks though, lol)

Van just cant take the same penalties they did vs the Blues. They give the Wings that amount of 5 on 3's they'll capatalize... They stay outta the box and Luo plays like he has the last month, they got a chance.

It may have been a sweep, but the games sure werent played like one. Nucks deserved it. I was just happy to see some post season for a change.

who would you rather play? chicago or calgary in the 2nd? im torn between them 2, chicago is an offensively gifted team while calgary can beat you up and they play us well. i think both goalies are shells of their former self especially khabibulin and kipper has played a lot of gms this yr. right now i guess i'll be leaning towards chicago cuz their best players are the young and inexperienced and they dont hit no where near as much as calgary to wear you down. but im hoping this series goes 7 gms while we hopefully win in 6.

no question in my mind if we play our best gm we should handle both of these teams rather quickly but consistency and sharks in the same sentence dont belong

^^i dont like calgary at all, i hate them with a passion. I would rather play the hawks. The flames play to chippy. Dont wanna play the ducks and flames in a row with that kind of play

very very true if we advance from this ducks series then gotta play another tough grueling series with these mofos i dont think we survive against the wings. im hoping the fly guys come back and win that series i dont wanna see another rd with crosby and the pens in it
