Deep in the heart of Texas, Sean Avery apparently has discovered a sidekick, a partner in agitation, if you will. Introducing Sean Avery and Steve Ott: Hockey's Most Despised Duo. While Avery's omnipresent shenanigans are well-documented, it was Ott who was ripped by Cherry on national television for his so-called "shameful" tactics during the Boston Bruins' 5-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday. Last night, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli followed up Cherry's comments by saying Avery and Ott "were a bit out of control." "I just think things got carried away in the heat of battle," Chiarelli added during a phone interview from Boston. Cherry was disgusted by Ott's refusal to drop the gloves with Bruins players, who were livid with the Dallas forward for several questionable hits near the boards. Avery would stick his nose into the festivities, too, leading to a fight-filled third period.

This should be interesting...I remember last year Joe Thornton wanted to kill Ott and he ran away like a little b***h.

I watched that game... it was a good 1... nice brawl. All 5 Bruins jumped on Avery and Hnidy just grabbed Niskanen and laid the boots to him... This is a major reason why I love hockey

Price looked a little shakey against the Isles... They got enough firepower to make that up when Price has his off days

They look good.. I still think the Broadway Blueshirts will be takin the East over the long haul

Otts such a b***h. You can say that his goal is just to get under people skins, but at some point you gotta fight.

I hate the West Coast road trips... teams like the Blues, Wings and Blackhawks get really f'd over with these trips... a lot of travelling and a lot of games in a few days

Try being a west coast team. Every game away from home is like that.

Man I think it was in 06 when the sharks had some ridiculous road trip on the east coast....all I remember is beating the Flyers and losing to everyone else....it was like 8 or 9 games on the road. Let me see if i can find it. I know I have the schedule in my room.

Teams like the Blues, Wings and Hawks are a whole lot closer to the east coast teams (Leafs, Sens, Habs, Sabres, Isles, Rangers etc..) and play in the West conference.. All the teams like Sharks, Ducks, Kings, Canucks etc.. are all on the West and play in the West... Everyone has to do the long travel to the other side at somepoint, but teams in the Central have to play more in conference games, which are all out West and a lot more traveling

I'm a Canuck fan and I'm pretty sure that every year we travel more miles, or km in our case , than any other NHL team.

Except now they're taking teams to Europe which screws up the mileage.
