This thread is 1/3 the length of the Mexican futbol (soccer ) thread. Does that mean they care 3 times as much as us?

In a country that has no other major sports but soccer, Yes Soccer in Mexico is the nations past, present and future time. Its funny to me because Mexico has never won a world cup, or even made it past the 1/8 round in the World Cup. But the country lives and dies with the team.

Even mediocre teams gotta have fans. When was the last time you cheered the Niners to the Super Bowl?

What about your baseball/basketball teams?
Hell, there are lots of NFL/NBA/MLB fans of losing teams.

Back to original question about Mexico caring more than the USA about soccer.
Yes they do care more about it. The point I was making is you have to take your hat off to Mexico because they have never came close to winning a WC or even making it that far, but they have and will continue to have a strong fan base.
My baseball team is LA Dodgers, bball is the Houston Rox.

uh, Mexico has made it past the world cup 1/8 round. And we've won other important FIFA tournaments like the Confederations cup. Only about 8 teams have ever won the world cup, the other 150+ teams in FIFA have never won a world cup since it was first started in the 30's. By no means is Mexico mediocre.

that video has nothing to do with anything, just Faitelson talking about how life goes on if Mexico doesnt qualify, and how only a few teams have won the world cup, just like I stated in my previous post. Talk to me when you're done throwing dirt on Mexican soccer, cause thats all you have been doing, if Im wrong, prove it. Lates dude.

Just so I'm following you correctly, this example is supposed to disprove the theory of Mexico struggling against bad teams?

So instead of disproving the theory, you decided to go with "Oh yeah, what about you"?
