Comon man, did you watch the confed cup at all? we were not playing our best football, not even close...you guys literally had possession the entire game..el tri might have outplayed us in this game, but for some reason i think we both know we are still the superior side. Any time we actually tried and hustled, we got whatever we wanted and Davies had open looks.

That being said, i have no explanation for why we looked so tired..It was kinda pathetic, when the ball was turned over on our side of the pitch, we didnt even run to the offensive, everyone just stood around it looked like we werent trying?

If i was a mexican fan i would be pretty embarrassed by all those stupid things they tried to pull....Grabbing an injured player on the ground and trying to pull him up by his head wont fly in South Africa, and that chickensh*t that #6 Torrado pulled after bocanegra came to help when he grabbed his throat and tried to choke him isnt football...but im not mexican so maybe im biased.

I understand that you should be mad about that play but the odds of him faking an injury to him being injured in a 1-1 game are not in favor of him. Many times players do that to waste time, however the player was really injured this time. In sports sometimes the best will get you especially in a rivalry game, granted it is not always the best act to commit.

Torrado wouldnt have grabbed him by the throat if he had not rammed into him. And he did not try to choke him, he pushed him back.

Thizz, you watch a lot of soccer.. of course, they do this all the time, its the way of the game. 7/10 times players go down is either to waste time/get a call/re group their own defense....so that excuses two players grabbing him by the head to pull him up? give me a break, i dont even think ive seen that before.


and he rammed him? hahaha, he was pushing the players off his injured teammate laying on the ground, dont defend that. I cant remember the last time i saw someone in a soccer game try and push someone off by grabbing them by the throat, is that how you guys do it in mexico??

i never said it excuses them from what they did but when you are not winning an important game and someone falls down, nothing goes through your head besides the though of him taking time and lets try to get him up. Im sure if they knew he was hurt they would have just told the ref to stop the time.

Is that even possible? There's a reason why there is stoppage time at the end of EVERY 90 minutes. and no that doesnt go through your head, to try and pull an injured player up, in any sport.

I've played in numerous games where my team and the opposite team has done that when leading and almost the majority of the time other members of the team will try to help you out even if you do not want it, just to get up. Not all refs stop time and in the end just give about the average time which is about 2-3 minutes. With faking an injury you also slow the tempo down and let the other team get a breather. It's part of sports and happens the majority of the time, except this time a player was injured therefore resulting in the players trying to lift him up looking real bad.

Landon Donovan says mexico played a great game today and perhaps the U.S. got a little cold feet playing in the Azteca, but that both teams know that the U.S. is still the best team in the CONCACAF.

I was watching on Mun2 and they cut to some troops in Iraq watching the game and about three of them in the back were waving a Mexican flag. It was funny as hell. I still can't root for the US team as long as Donovan and Onyewu are on there.

I missed the game today. I got a question for the followers of both teams. I'm sure both team will qualify for the WC. If they were to meet again in Africa, on neutral ground, who would win?

I can't give you a solid opinion since I follow Portugal. (we better beat Denmark btw lol)

I think because of Dos Santos + Vela (Sabah has been money but he's not as talented as they are and hopefully Castillo gets back to his Copa America form) by the WC I would give Mexico a 1 goal advantage.
