no its not, did you see any of the games from 2003-2008? They were never as exciting as this. LaVolpe liked playing a more defensive style, contrary to how he played his teams in Toluca. And with Erikkson and Sanchez they just didnt gel, it was boring.

So am I correct in assuming that just about every American of Mexican descent roots against their home country in this?

Depends on how you were raised. I remember ever since I was little I'd watch Mexico's games with my dad. It was great. Hollywood49er goes for the U.S. and I think he mentioned that hes Mexican.
