Probably the most lopsided deal of this decade...in any sport.

No risk, FULL reward.

Saints: 12th, 71st, 107th, 144th, 179th and 218th

for

Redskins: 5th

Herschel Walker trade.

Tops my list. Fkn' sickening. 3 Super Bowls in 4 years because of it. Commence puking!

(Although, crzy's mention of Wilt cannot be overlooked, nor diminished.)

got to give Dallas credit though. You still got to draft correctly and develop them. Afterall, the debate is the pick is worthless half the time because the college player drafted simply can't translate into the NFL.

Still a bad trade, but I don't count it as the worst because Dallas MADE the most out of what they were GIVEN.

The only two trades mentioned in this thread that deserve the "worst" label are the Wilt and the Babe Ruth trade.

It would be like the 49ers in 1990 trading Jerry Rice for cash or the Cavs trading Lebron James right now to save money.
Edmonton Oilers trade Wayne Gretzky, Marty McSorley, and Mike Krushelnyski to the LA Kings for Jimmy Carson, Martin Gelinas, and the 1st rd picks in 1989, 1991, and 1993.

Philadelphia Flyers trade Peter Forsberg, Ron Hextall, Chris Simon, Mike Ricci, Kerry Huffman, Steve Duchesne, the 1993 1st rd selection, the 1994 1st rd selection, and $15,000,000 to the Quebec Nordiques for...................Eric Lindross.
When that one minor league baseball player got traded for baseball bats.

The team that recieved the baseball bats got a hell of a deal!
How about the 49ers trading to get OJ Simpsom?

And there's also the Falcons trading Favre, but I know there are a lot of arguments in defense of the trade.
