It was nice to see Gordon come out and play basketball. He's looked tenative and scared to play all season. Tonight he came in and played some defense and moved around a little bit. Hopefully this will spark his confidence and he will get some minutes.

And yeah congrats to Sloan. If the Jazz continue to play well he should defiantly get his COTY award. But who knows?

The voters will screw him over like they do every season. Its a slap in the face and just shows how much of a joke that award is.

Congratulations to Coach Sloan for passing Pat Riley for 3rd all time in wins with 1,211.

and doing it with 1 team is so impressive.

in a day and age where head coaches in pro sports are fired at any time for any reason, its amazing how great of a coach hes been so consistently for this long.

longest tenured coach in the 4 major pro sports. i hope he continues to coach the Jazz until hes too old to do it anymore. the fact that hes never won coach of the year is an outrage.

He coached the Bulls from 79-82 and won 94 games with them but still he's done an incredible coach. I just hope Corbin stays around long enough to take over once he's done but I doubt that happens. He seems to be one of the hottest coaching prospects in the league.

im assuming if Sloan ever decides to leave, Phil Johnson would get the first offer. hes been our assistant coach for 18 years now. Hes been named top assistant coach in the NBA by the GM's 4 different times.

I remember when Tyrone Corbin was playing for the Jazz. he was one of the main guys on the team when i moved to SLC when i was 7.

when i first became a Jazz fan, the starters were John Stockton, Jeff Malone, Bryon Russell, Karl Malone, and Felton Spencer, with Jeff Hornacek, Tyrone Corbin, John Crotty, Jay Humphries, David Benoit, Tom Chambers, Luther Wright, etc on the bench. lol good times. one of my friends at school was David Benoit's financial advisor, or agent or something.

I miss Wes! He's the kind of player we are missing to really make a serious run.

Thats how I feel too although Raja's leadership has been great, but that won't be enough when it comes to actual games unless he steps his play up big time on offense.
Gordon finally gave us something to talk about!!! Filling in for the injured AK and the sick CJ, Hayward had 17 pts and 6 rebounds to go along with Big Al having a great game with 31 and 10. D-Will added 16,7, and 6, Mehmet finally is shaking off the rust and had 13 and Paul had 12 and 9 to help us out in LA. Crazy to think a Jazz team is 11-4 this season on the road. We havent been that good on the road in a looooong time.
WESLEY COME BAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!

Another solid win against Memphis even though we're shorthanded but it seems like Hayward is getting some confidence as he had his third straight double digit game with 13 points. Hopefully this keeps up cuz we need him off the bench especially when CJ cant play. Paul led the way for the Jazz with 22 and 10 and 4 other players scored in double digits in the win.
I hope Hayward can keep his play up. This is what I was hoping he would be able to do for us. When AK and Miles are both healthy again we will finally have some decent depth. Miles is always hot or cold, and if Hayward can come in and do this on his off nights, it will help out a LOT.
Got our butts kicked at home. We really missed Paul tonight, Jefferson has been too soft and Elso and Fes didnt do enough.
WTF????Too many damn turnovers especailly from D-Will.
We really need to trade for a scorer right now especailly at SG. Bell just isn't cutting it and seeing Wesley go for 36, 7-10 from deep, sure as hell doesnt help.

I just think we need to find some energy from the starting line-up. They are coming in games non-chalant, not moving the ball, and playing lazy defense. I hate to say it but our first five is kind of boring to watch. It takes Price, Watson, Miles, or Hayward to bring in the energy and then it spreads to the others. I think Sloan really needs to shake-up the starting 5 to spread the energy throughout the game.
