But in the West I always catch myself going "Oh s**t..the Jazz are right there too"..when looking at the standings..same goes w/ the Bucks in the East..

But again, no offense..just what always pops in my head when I think of the Jazz.

while reading your post i immediately thought of the Bucks when you said "that team you always forget about". lol and then you mentioned them too.

btw youre a Magic fan? 49ers, Cardinals, Magic? random...

yeah mine is all spread out..cardinals (grew up watching them here in stl)..49ers (didn't have a nfl team growing up..kinda clinged on to them)..and same goes w/ the magic
Damn Wesley had 20 for the Blazers tonight.
Nice win last night. Sounds like the positives were Jeremy Evan shocking fans with his play and his athleticism, Hayward's defense not his shot, AK turning it on in the 2nd half, Raja and AK being great defensively, and Gaines and Jeffers doing a good job. As for the negatives I guess Hayward's shot looked horrible at times and he missed badly, CJ's defense was horrible, the entire 2nd unit sucked, Fes blocking a dunk with the rim after a nice spin move, and Ronnie Price being Ronnie Price. Wesley tore us apart as well and had 21. 34 million is looking more and more worth it.

Sounds like the bench is very unorganized and did a horrible job when they were all playing together so Im sure Raja or/and AK will be making their move to the bench to help them out.

2-0 and I cant believe who was the main contributor. Fesenko had 18...yes....18 points, 7 rebounds. and only one turnover. Maybe he has some skills yet we'll see this year I guess. Anyways Deron had 15, Al had 14, and CJ had 14 as well to lead the Jazz. The bench is still struggling and the back up PG race is heating up as Sundiata and Ronnie have really brought it so far while Earl struggles to learn the offense.

Wes had 16 for the Blazers and got a technical along with Fesenko.

3-0

Al is starting to look better and better in the offense, Jeffers is making a serious case to make the roster the last couple games, Evans was again good and is becoming a nice lil suprise for a guy no one heard about on Draft Day, and Fes had another good game with 9 and 6 although I wish he would get better at blocking shotsl. Hayward has been struggling on offense so far but his defense has been solid at least. Gaines didnt make the trip and I'm not sure why.

Overall the team isn't looking too bad although from what I've read our transition defense needs a lot of work so hopefully they can correct that soon.

I think it will take some time for these guys to gel, but once we do it should be fun to watch this team.
Last night was good for AL. He played faster and put up the kind of numbers we were hoping for. I just hope this is a sign of things to come.

Also, we have some interesting position battles going on. It'll be interesting to see who sticks from Jeffers, Nichols, and Thompson. All 3 have had the chance to start and all look good so far, with Jeffers standing out he most. It'll also be interesting to see who sticks at PG as Derons backup. Price and Gaines have looked good, while Watson has finally stepped it up.

As for the draft picks, Hayward definitely needs some time to get comfortable with his shot, but he has done well enough defensively to make up for it. Evans has been a great pickup so far. He does exactly what they said he would; block shots and get rebounds. Dude just needs to add some weight

Its gonna be really hard to see who we have to cut cuz all of them seem to be working their asses off to make this team and they're all deserving of it. Fes is really shocking me he seems to be showing off his talent and not making as many stupid plays as he was the last few years. I"m starting to think we'll be ok at the center spot until Okur comes back now with Fes showing he can score and rebound. Eavans has been awesome and I feel horrible for criticizing the pick as much as I did b/c he's done nothing but do everything expected of him from the start and like you said as soon as he gets some weight on him he's gonna be a helluva guy off the bench.
D-Will is out for tonight's game against the Clippers with a strained calf. Time to see what Earl can do.

Another win but tonight's game against the Lakers will be our first real test.
Another win and against the defending champs to make us 6-0. Preseason doesn't mean s**t but its nice to get a win against the Lakers, its been awhile. More important than that Hayward finally showed his potential after struggling so far. Tonight he was 8-10 FG and 10-11 on free throws, a damn near perfect night. CJ, Al, AK, Earl, and Ronnie were great for us as well although I was pretty disappointed with Millsap and his 7 turnovers. He's been struggling a lot alongside Al it seems like but regular season is all that matters. D-Will, Elson, Nichols, Evans, Gaines, Jeffers all sat out due to injuries/flu or coaches decisions.
