Jefferson back tonight, and Howard is now done for the year(surgery in his left knee). I feel bad for the guy, but it does give more minutes to Hayward and Burks. It will be interesting to see if Corbin gives more minutes to the younger guys after they played so well the last few games. I hope Favors gets about 30 mpg from here on out and Kanter stays around 20, but I have my doubts.

HUGE game tonight! We can either make a statement that we are serious about getting back in the playoffs, or we can take a huge step back. We have been playing pretty darn well and players seem to finding their roles. Now that Howards out I'm guessing Hayward will be the starter? Can he find his groove in that role? Or is Miles starting? As for Burks, excited to see the guy get more playing time.
Having Jefferson back is iffy. I dunno if I like that or not. He get's his points but the offense just stops moving when he has the ball. Players quite rotating. Now I can't give all the blame to Jefferson, because as I said players quite rotating so the guy has to shoot due to the shot clock. Not really sure who to blame there. In all reality I think Favors is ready to take his spot, but he will be spending his time on the bench. Same as Kanter. Like you I have my doubts. Jefferson demands his 30+ minutes and that hurts both guys.
But I guess we'll wait and see what happens tonight.

Well we made a statement! Very good game tonight! Like this line-up that we ran tonight. Hopefully we can keep this up.

Great game last night. Millsap has been on fire again lately, and is playing like he did earlier in the year
Also, who thought Tinsley would have such a huge impact? He is getting minutes and making things happen.

Good game last night. Wish Favors got some more time though, he was great in the first half

Cousins on Harris: Yo, honestly I'm tired of the kid. And I mean, like really, I don't know what his issue is. I'm tired of the kid, honestly. I'm tired of him. I don't know what his issue is, but I can definitely solve it.
Harris on Cousins: It goes back to the last game. … He's trying to get in my head and I'm trying to get in his. I can't let anybody push me around.
The feud dates back to Feb. 28, when the Jazz fell 103-96 at Sacramento. Cousins was called for a technical foul in the game, after bumping into Harris during an inbounds play.

Nuggets got raped! Didn't get to watch much of the game due to work, but the bit I got to watch is seemed like we were clicking on all cylinders. The teams really seems to be grasping "it".

So the differences I see since we have been winning
-Jefferson passing more, and the offense moving
-Hayward being aggressive, driving the lane, finding open targets
-Rotations as far as substitutions are very good
-Favors/Burks enough said
-Harris, passing the ball, shooting and making 3's, becomming more and more aggresive, where has this guy been? He was once an all-star, and suddenly we are seeing why. Not saying he's an all-star, but the guy is a good basketball player. I remember us saying something along the lines of "He's a good player, he just does not fit with this team." Suddenly though, I think he may be coming back to form. Not all-star form, but he's starting to play like he used to.(sorry that was long but it's good to see)

-Making teams play our game
-Playing as a team
Probably more, but the biggest difference is our ability to rotate on defense. Before we were letting guys just drive the lane and either get an easy bucket, or kick it outside for an easy 3. Any more it's becomming difficult to drive the lane on us because players are in position to stop them before they even can drive. Thus not as many easy 3's. We are being physical, and getting rebounds. You can see now Koby, Durant, Cousins, and now Afflalo have all been extremely frustrated and been taken out of their games.
If we can keep this up, I am actually pretty excited if we can make the play-offs. 2 weeks ago, I thought even if we did make the play-offs somehow, it would just be a blow out and probably not even worth watching. But now, even though I don't think we are close to being a championship team, I think we can give teams a run for their money.
But in all honesty there is still tons of ball to be played. Hopefully we don't let this doesn't get us too confident like we did earlier and lay an egg. I see no reason we shouldn't make the play-offs. Other teams Denver, Memphis, LAC, and Houston are all playing less than spectacular basketball. Most due to injuries or trades that cannot be fixed. But what do I know? Anything can happen.

The Jazz have been on fire lately, and I love every minute of it. When Bell gets back, I hope Ty doesn't send him back into the starting role. The team plays so much better without him. As for Jefferson, I love that he is passing more, it really makes a difference.
Glad to see Hayward playing like he did towards the end of last year. He has such a natural feel for the game, but you can definitely tell when he lacks confidence.

Corbin has been coaching well lately, but how the hell do you not make any substitutions in a triple overtime game?! Favors and Burks came out with 5:54 left in the fourth, then sat the rest of the game. Are you kidding?!
How the hell does Favors only play 15 minutes in a triple overtime game?! SMH
Now we go to the 4th overtime...made a dang substitution Corbin!!

LOL bring out the starters again. No big deal...Hayward, Jefferson, and Millsap are all already over 51 minutes each. It's not like they play in New Jersey tomorrow or anything

It took Al and Millsap fouling out for Ty to make a sub.
EDIT - Jefferson had no FT attempts in over 50 minutes

So how does our pick with the Warriors work? We get the pick if they finished in the last 8 or above right? It's protected up until 7 are my impressions, but I've heard different things. I also heard some report that we were talking to them about giving them the pick back for cash or something?! I don't really get the NBA and the whole lottery process that well.

It is top 7 protected. If the pick ends up being 8 or lower, we would get the pick.
IIRC the Warriors wanted to give us to 2nd round picks for their pick back, which would be stupid for us. Anyway, they are in full tank mode so I doubt we get the pick this year.
