***2012-2013 Utah Jazz Thread***

Following an NBA team in a different state with no coverage is hard, especially when they have no star players to put them into the contender class.

The Jazz need to quit piecing together white/foreign role players and find a way to bring star power in. Its hard enough to convince big names to sign in Utah, but with no other stars to team up with, its almost impossible.

Or we can hit a three at the end of the game to send the Spurs packing on ESPN. God Dayum Mo Williams! And speaking of foreign role players, if you possibly watched the game and watched Enes Kanter, you will see the tremendous upside the guy has. He is only 20 years old but he was pushing around Dwight against the Lakers 16 points, and tonight he scored a quick 6 points, but didn't really get to see the floor much due to the closeness of this game. This guy is going to be a legit player, still amazingly raw not playing college, but he has tremendous upside.

Hopefully this team took a big step today. We play very well at times, but play horrible on the road. I really don't get it, but it seems we are starting to find ourselves. Maybe 4th in the West. I predicted 6-8 but we've been playing the best basketball we've played in a long while. This team has a lot of young talent, just not sure how good yet.

Most inconsistent team in the entire NBA.

Two in a rizzzzow=Championship!!!
This team needs to be active at the trade deadline. I am so sick of the inconsistency with everyone especially the bigs. Jefferson or even Millsap need to be moved to open up more time for Enes and Derrek. Corbin is trying to make sure all the bigs their fair share of minutes every game but that doesnt help us in the win department. I believe Jefferson and Millsap are both free agents this summer so I say trade Al at the deadline and try to get a backup point guard like a CJ Watson, Jeremy Pargo or a Kirk Hinrich and whatever else we can for him cause he may be the laziest member on the team, at least on defense. Finalize a trade or just buyout Raja's contract. I dunno what happened between him and Corbin but he's wasting a roster spot that we desperately need, so lets get it done. Its not like he has much of a career left anyways. Finally get rid of Tinsley and Watson!!! There just has to be some guys on another team or in the D-League that can play better then these two. They're great at piling up the assists at time but we need points from our backcourt especially without Mo and those two are absolutely horrible shooters. Cut'em and bring in some new guys to try out for the rest of the season at least.

There's my rant, I know I've disappeared forever now but I will be back on more often soon I promise so until then. Go Jazz and Go 49ers!!! Hope you guys had a great holiday season and I'll talk to ya later!

I say move Millsap before Al. Al is more of a consistent scoring threat and he complements Favors really well. I hope they make a trade for a guy like Calderon or collison, but I doubt they make the move. With the new gm we have though I don't know what will happen. All I know is that it's hard to be interested in the group they put out now. It's obvious the young guys need more play time

Down 5 after 3. Burks starts the 4th at PG. Plays the rest of the game at point. Hits huge three to beat the shot clock .Goes on a 19-4 run...

Corbin, please take note.

5 out of 6, with a lot of home games coming up. Looking better(whenever I seem to say that), and it seems we have found our rotations. Not so sure we don't keep both Milly and Jefferson now for this season at least. Still need a PG though. This teams growing on me the last month, not saying we're championship caliber, but as long as we keep playing good basketball I'm fine with that.
Went to the game yesterday, energy solutions is high as f**k
Team is playing great lately and I dunno how with Hayward and Mo out and Tinsley the only true PG on the floor which is horrifying. Burks has been solid at PG though and I hope they give him more minutes. Al has been a beast down low lately too which is awesome I hope he keeps it up.

Also Jeremy Evans will be defending his Dunk Championship over the All Star Weekend. Lets see if the kid can bring it back to SLC again!
Utah Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey has defended the team's approach with developing young players.

The Jazz have been slow to increase the minutes of Derrick Favors, Gordon Hayward, Enes Kanter and Alec Burks.

"We understand that the public, as are we, are excited about the young guys," Lindsey said. "But we've got to bring them along at the appropriate pace."

But then we come out and beat OKC tonight. Some nights we look like a legit contender to at least maybe make a push in the playoffs, then that all get goes back to normal. To me it's conflicting because I really do think we could be a pretty decent team, but then we take nights off, or 1st unit shows up, 2nd doesn't or visa versa. We're playing decent right now, but I still think a move needs to be made somewhere.

I will say Jamaal Tinsley should not be starting. Why not let Burks start? As you said he's been a pretty good PG for us and most of all he can score the basketball in numerous ways. Maybe Tinsley is too slow to run with the second unit but if he scores 5 points that's a good game for him.
I went to Jazz/Kings on Saturday. My first Jazz game since 1995...

The Kings definately got an extra boost from the big crowd, but we shouldnt have lost.

Its kind of sad to see the Jazz in this transitional stage. Millsap and Bell are kind of the last ones standing from the previous era.
and Bell isn't even with the team. He refuses to play for Corbin. He's been sitting at home all year. I dunno why they wont just cut him.

Also Evans got robbed tonight in the Slam Dunk contest.
Evans shouldn't have won last year^
