If belt changes position, I hope it doesn't affect his offense.

Though I'd rather keep Belt at 1st, I don't think moving him to LF would hurt him at the plate. Sure, he'll struggle a little in the OF but not in a Huff-like way.

Lots of guys change positions without hurting their ability at the plate and I wouldnt think it would have an effect on Belt. It certainly will hurt the team defense though but that might be the price they have to pay to get another bat. I would love to see them sign Abreu and take a chance with the upside.
I heard abreu has holes in his swing....

I read that too but he has big power. Not many guys with his upside power available on the market.

I'd take power over avg ON THIS TEAM. I think this team was ranked top ten in the majors as far as average.

Does Abreu takes walks?

Definitely think Abreu is worth pursuing, even with his offensive/defensive deficiencies. He has the one thing we absolutely need and is typically hard to find/expensive to obtain: RH power

Read that Texas may be the frontrunner for him.

Wow. How much did they shell out for Darvish?

Bobby Evans sounded real intrigued on the radio talking about him, but sounded the exact opposite when they talked about the chances of landing him mainly because Abreu seems more like a money guy rather than location.

111 million which included the posting fee. Lots of money but Darvish certainly is the real deal.

That's three years of payroll for the A's.
what about bringing back Nasty Nate? he would be a better option than what we had last year in LF
