I dunno, LeBron is all about being a celebrity and going to LA or NY makes the most sense from celebrity/advertising stand point IMO.

Personally I don't think he leaves Miami after next season. I think they win it all again. So they all don't opt out and go for 4 in a row. Then with possibly 4 MVP/Championship/MVP Finals in a row he can worry less about his legacy in the game and more about his celebrity. But even then he is still in his prime. I think he waits until like 35 to make his journey to one of the "big" cities to make one final cash in on his talent and celebrity.

Lakers won't be bad enough to be in the Wiggins sweepstakes this year. I'd be shocked if we picked higher than #7.

I don't think LeBron would come to LA either, but he'd get about $21M on a max contract in LA, leaving the Lakers with $41M to put a team around him. If they got LeBron but not Melo, IMO they could definitely put a title team around him in that first year.

You keep assuming that Kobe is gone. He is most likely going to at the very least be a $15-20M cog in that salary cap. I doubt he would take less than LeBron lol, that ego is too big.
reign calling out Pete for assuming, then proceeds to base his opinion on assumptions.

I'd be fine with Kobe for $15M next year, provided that he returns to form after his injury. (big if) That still leaves about $26M to fill out the roster with.

PG: Kyle Lowry ($8M), Darren Collison ($2.5M...room exception)
SG: Thabo Sefolosha ($4.5M), Nick Young ($1.2M)
SF: Kobe Bryant ($15M)
PF: LeBron James (21M), James McAdoo ($1.4M...'14 pick)
C: Emeka Okafor ($5M), Chris Andersen ($1.5M), Robert Sacre ($0.9M)

And you'd probably be able to sign a ring chaser or two to a vet minimum Anything beyond that, he can walk, preferably in a sign & trade.

You went from the biggest hater of Lebron on the WZ to now you are posting rosters of wishful thinking of him on your team. LOL.

I've been calling him the best player in the game for like 3 years now, lol.

You hated on him for years always talking about how he chokes. I guess the last 3 and especially 2 years have changed your mind.

I think he's overrated AND has been the best player in the game for the last 3 years and a Top 3 player for the last 7-8 or so. Yes, I would want him on my team, lol.
I doubt Lebron goes to the Lakers btw. I think he stays in Miami or goes to Cleveland maybe. But the Lakers are a possibility because they tend to be willing to pay and put a good team on the court each year. I really don't think they are the favorite though.

Lebron has to decide if he wants to pay around 14% State of CA tax (the highest in the nation) vs. 0% in FL. No small difference for a guy who makes around $60 million including endorsements and NBA pay combined.

Well that matters and comes into play for a guy making that much. That's why I think it's no slam dunk for LA to get him.

I would say it's pretty likely not for a variety of reasons. Not he least of which are his taxes would go trough the roof if he did. And the Lakers at this point are an older team with injuries and a rebuilding project. Why would he want an old team rebuilding project? That makes no sense based on what he wants to do.
