What a tournament!!!! Anyone who is a baseball fan and is against the WBC is an idiot, and nothing will convince me otherwise.

What's the word to describe this buffoon? Arrogant and obtuse wherever he goes. Haha.
PS I think the WBC is awesome.

It would mean a lot more if the USA sent its best players. The ratings and interest would be so much higher if Mike Trout, Kris Bryant, Madison Bumgarner, and Clayton Kershaw had played. To me it loses appeal when Tanner Roark is pitching a semi final game ( even though he pitched great).

I never said I didnt like it. I just said I dont want my pitchers and catcher playing in it. I dont mind the position players.
Also, this tourney is way more important to the other countries. If it wasnt, you would have seen Trout, kershaw, scherzer, etc. and we would destroy those teams easy. The WBC is more important than the olympics to PR, DR and Cuba.
Its a good event. But as a Giants fan, I dont want my team impacted by it. And it hurt the Giants years ago when we like 60 players on the team after the WS win.

I had never paid much attention to past WBCs, but this year I flipped on MLBN late one night and I was hooked from the very first round 1 game...from Israel upsetting S. Korea to that huge comeback by Italy, and those epic games US vs DR and Japan, I though it was a great tournament.
As someone who loves baseball, I hope this helps broaden the popularity (and participation) especially here in the US, and leads to more top-shelf players choosing to play in future WBCs.

The WBC before this last one was incredible too. The first one was a little lackluster, but the last 2 have more than made up for it.
