Cant blame the Dodgers management though. I blame MLB for creating a system where the big markets can have payrolls 3-4 times more than the lowest payroll teams. One thing about the Dodgers, they have spent their money wisely for the most part (League was obviously an exception). Their big contracts are for players that are still young players. They are getting incredible value for the buck for guys like Puig and Rhu. Compare that to the Angels and Yankees who spend big money on aging players on the decline.
I hate to say it but the Dodgers are going to be very good for quite awhile.
This is why I'm not a bigger fan of baseball. I was a big Yankees fan when I was a kid, and I still root for them with passing interest, but I just can't get too invested in this system. I like the sport and played Little League for like 5 years as a kid, but the MLB framework really turns me off.
BTW, last year you were killing the Dodgers for moves they made, saying it would be a franchise killer because of the $$$.

I think I criticized the Dodgers for the move for Beckett, Crawford, and Gonzo. I thought they took on way too much money for 2 guys with major question marks. I also laughed at the League signing. However, I dont think you will me ripping the Dodgers for any other move.
Also, I didnt know the Dodgers were going to get the biggest local TV Deal ever. Bottom line is this............ with the money they have they can take risks on players and screw up one or 2. Other franchises could NEVER have taken those Sox players or given huge money to an unproven guy like Puig. Baseball should put all of the international players in the regular draft and put in a salary cap. That way the rich teams cant just spend spend spend.
