lol, so youre comparing Puig to Bonds because they were both hated? Barry Bonds was the greatest hitter of his generation. Puig is not. It's well documented that the Dodger players dont like Puig. They were thinking about trading him this year.

People hate Puig because hes a douchebag, not because hes a Dodger. He tosses his bat on hits that bounces on the warning track. Hes a hot headed showboat who hasnt earned his right to do any of it.

BTW, that list of pitchers you posted? Theyre all mediocre after Kershaw and Greinke. You have a 2 man rotation.

Ryu mediocre?
McCarthy, Woods, Arroyo are all capable and on other rotations they're #2 or 3

Well documented? There's also even more publication saying that Puig isn't a problem. As opposed to Bonds being hated by everyone

LOL, number 2 starters? Maybe in AAA...

Btw, its Alex Wood. Not Woods.

If you know how baseball statistics work, youd realize that no Dodgers pitcher outside Kershaw and Greinke are anything special.

Wood cant stay healthy, and didnt even pitch well for the Dodgers this year. Ryu is coming off surgery. McCarthy has injury issues, and sucked this year. Beachy is always hurt. Arroyo is a 4 starter at his very best, and is old as the hills.

You didnt even mention your 3rd and 4th best SP, Bolsinger and Anderson. Both also mediocre.

The Dodgers rotation is garbage outside the 2 elite guys.

McCarthy only pitched in 4 games before having TJ surgery.. He cant be counted on thats for sure. As for Anderson.. well he is a FA so who even knows if he will be back.

This is a team with huge question marks at SP. They are in a panic right now just thinking of the potential of Greinke leaving.
Everyone except for the most blind homer knows that the Dodgers are an epic failure when you consider how much money they have spent. I wonder if they ever paid back the rest of the teams in the league when they couldn't even make their payroll a few years ago?
Worrying so much about the Dodgers when your starting rotation is up in the air

Ryu back with his low 3 era as the #3
Wood at #4 decent young pitcher
#5 can be any innings eater

Our SP are set, and can only improve with FAs. Giants however are way off. 2 spots for sure, 1 of which struggled late. Cain? Pevy?

You couldn't land a top SP last year, but I'm sure this year will be different...

I'll take Dodgers rotation all day
Solidge is the only person who would claim a 37 year old Bronson Arroyo who hasnt pitched in over a year is a solid 2 or 3 but will question a 34 yr old Jake Pevy (lol) who had an era in the mid 3s and held opposting batters to an OPS of under 7

27 years and counting

Do you even Heston? Oh wait, never mind. That's right. You were too consumed with the Dodgers march to the playoffs to have even noticed one of your "starters" was released.

Your starting pitching is set, and can only improve with free agents? Why would you need FA's when you are set?

Meaning if we pick someone up, it would just get better.

You dont even know who is on the Dodgers roster so I wouldnt bother trying to figure the Giants out if I was you. Peavy is guaranteed a spot in the rotation next year Most likely he will be in the 3-4 spot behind Bumgarner and one of their FA signings., Heston will be in the 4-5 spot and could actually be out of the rotation if the team signs 2 guys. Any of them are better than Arroyo. You know.. the guy you think is a solid 2 or 3 starter.

Yeah, I can just imagine the Dodgers picking up someone to take up that Greinke slack. Those type of pitchers are a dime a dozen.

But your "set" rotation should get the job done I'm sure.

So Vogelsong can be your #2 to start the season at 38 with a career 4.24 ERA
But Arroyo same age and better ERA can't?

And I said he might be our #5
And Wood started the season at #2 in Atl
But sure whatever you say

Actually you said that Arroyo can be a capable #2 or #3 starter. How quickly you forget your own words. As for Vogelsong, just because a guy starts game 2 of a season due to injuries from key starters it doesnt mean he is their #2 starter. And he wasnt. But if you want to compare Arroyo to a guy who the Giants will be not be resigning and could be out of baseball soon go right ahead.
