Starting to think things were way more toxic in that locker room than we thought.
So we clean house for draft picks and decide to play hard and go 8-3 to start the year? This is not how you tank.

I don't think tanking was ever in their plan.
Utah is the fifth team in NBA history to have at least eight wins and 150+ made threes through 11 games of a season, joining last year's Warriors, the 2018-19 Bucks and the Rockets of 2017-18 and 2019-20.
It's not 71 and 11, but I guess 49 from Lauri will do.
you all are for sure winning coach of the year

Another pointless 8 seed and first round exit with a crappy draft slot incoming.
Tony Jones isn't holding back. Good for him.
Well at least they got the one win that mattered most this year

With Utah I don't think its as much racism as it is ignorance. They live in a white, mormon bubble where everyone looks the same and has the same culture. When you're sheltered like that, anyone who is different seems strange, and you don't have enough personal experiences with different people to be able to gain a well rounded perspective.

Its no excuse to behave that way, but IMO the racial issues in Utah are more from being uneducated on outside cultures, and not a deep seeded history of dislike that you find in the south.

I don't see it as a comparison to the south as much as racism is racism and it exists pretty openly there. It's very similar to Montana and people love to use the ignorance excuse here but after seeing a black girl with dreads get yanked to the floor by her dreads by two white girls at a bar last year, I'm kinda over the ignorance excuse. Racism is racism and just like Montana, Utah is filled with close minded, white racist a*****es.

Unfortunately thats just a flaw of humanity. Those who are unfamiliar with something typically fear it, and in turn feel threatened and dislike it. There has been that element in all different cultures throughout world history. Until those who are ignorant try to see it from a different perspective it's a tough thing to change. Hopefully over time that region becomes more diverse and the next generations will develop a different perspective.
Vivint Arena is being renamed this summer to something more familiar. The Delta Center is back!
