I don't get this trade. Why cut Perkins?

I do believe we get a protected 1st from okc and a second from Detroit though. Just learned of this so I could be wrong.

What bothers me is that we just made the West that much better, while we took a step back. Makes no sense.

It works out so we should have enough room to make some noise in free agency. This trade hurts us now, but helps us next year. So frustrating, but It's possible Pleiss can come over this year. Don't know much about him other than he plays with Tomic in Spain right now.
