jazz fans, you got your self at least a future all nba defense team player. gobert is something special, his work ethic speak for itself, the sky is the ceiling for this kid.

If Gobert can keep improving on offense he can be a one of a kind super star player. Not too many players are 7'2", with a 7'9" wingspan, and a 9'7" standing reach that also possess a very high basketball IQ, agility, and sheer ability he has. All homerism aside, he's already the best defender in the league IMO. He can completely change a teams gameplan, and not many players can do that on the defensive side of the ball alone. Very lucky to have him.

Can't believe our defense now. Never thought we could improve so much just by getting rid of one player but we really have. Gobert is definitely the key but man it seems like everyone has turned it up a notch or two lately. Millsap has been a great signing who has been a surprise with his rebounding numbers and had 5 steals tonight but I gotta give props to the guy who I wanted off the team earlier this year, Trey Burke. He has really adjusted well to the bench and has been a serious spark for us when he comes in and tonight really proved that. Great to see him doing wel,l I just hope Dante puts a lot of work this offseason to improve.

If it was earlier in the season I would say send Dante to the D-Leauge and finish out with Trey. I think that would have really helped him. But yeah Trey seems to be putting his big boy pants on as of late. He looks very composed and confident out there.

I was gonna say D-League too but then I figured with it being March 1st that there isn't much of a point now. They should have earlier though and relied on Clark and Alec to run backup point. What I'm kinda curious of is our SG situation when Burks comes back especially if Rodney turns it on to finish out the season. I don't really want to trade Alec but he may be trade bait if those two look reliable down the stretch, not to mention Jingles.

Saw this from Locke:
Jazz Defensive Ranking by Month
October: 30th
November: 26th
December: 25th
January: 15th
February: 1st
Having Millsap and Gobert has helped so much. They just need to be more consistent now. I love the way they've been playing

It probably coincides with the playing time tipping from Kanter to Gobert. When you replace one of the worst defensive C with one of the best, theres going to be a big swing.

That's pretty damn impressive even though it's only one month.

Good read on Exum:
"I'll come off an on-ball [screen] and the middle of the floor is open," Exum says. "It's just me and my guy. Instead of using body contact to go through him, it's more I just kind of kick it on and pass it, which frustrates me in a way. But it's just about getting rid of that habit that I've created and trying to be strong all the way through.
"I think it's not even a confidence thing. I think I have the confidence to go do it, I just think it's being more aggressive and having that mentality to go out and when I get the opportunity, take it."

Rudy Goatbert with 16 rebounds at the half! The defense has been good so far but they really need to get some offense going

I wonder how long John Stockton's career assists and steals records will last? Hes WAY ahead of any active player, and anyone even remotely close is in the twilight of their career.
I get tired of hearing about how Stockton was overrated.

League better be on notice. This is not the same Jazz team that started off the season. They're gonna be playoff contenders next year if they carry over this style of play.

Rudy with 15 points, 24 rebounds, but with 0 blocks. Time to trade him, 0 blocks is unacceptable.
