Do see the Cards winning this thing but let's see how they start out the series and if they can overcome that Fenway magic. The presence of Craig in the lineup should have a positive effect on the lineup.
LOL Wrong again. The Red Sox dont swing at everything. In fact, they are the most patient team in baseball.

Sweet article from August you damn clown. You must have Googled "Red Sox patience" Apparently 8th most K's = "most patient team in baseball"
Red Sox finished with the 8th most strikeouts of any team in 2013. 198 more than the Cardinals.

Look at the OB% dude. The Red Sox LED THE MAJORS with a .349 team OB%. Strikeouts dont mean anything in this regard, because called 3rd strikes and swinging 3rd strikes are rolled into one total.
Still...calling them the most patient team in the MLB when they were Top 10 in Ks...That isn't patient. They are TOP 10 IN K's with a DH. Considering they're going against a bunch of high K pitchers. Like I said above, the guy the Cardinals DON'T want to use almost had 200Ks.

Boston are just free swingers. They get on base, but also K quite a bit.
Wonder how that will work when they come to a NL stadium and have a pitcher at bat. (See the two AL teams leading OBP?)

AL teams rack up more total AB's because of the higher offensive output, so amount of K's can be misleading. Boston might be free-swinging, but that doesnt mean they cant be super patient as well. They walk a ton, and like I said, whos to say a good amount of those K's werent "looking", which would be patience.
A team like the Red Sox is going to be extremely difficult on any pitching staff. They force high pitch counts, and have the power to crush mistakes. The Cards staff is going to have to be on point. Ask the Tigers about it. One minute theyre cruising to a win, the next, a grand slam is sailing into the seats.
I was telling you before, I would want no part of this Red Sox team. They have a momentum train going full speed right now, and are easily sparked to an outburst on offense. Walks KILL in the playoffs, and the Red Sox had the 3rd most in the Majors this year.

Of course they can be super patient. I'm just going off the stats I've seen. Hell, they have had the top OBP in the postseason as well...but that doesn't equal to patience. They lead everyone in Ks in the postseason as well
They've faced the Rays and the Tigers. Two teams with DH. That is why I'm not too worried about that. Cardinals were #3 in MLB and #1 in the NL WITHOUT a DH.
The Red Sox lineup is going to be very tough. They have quite a few very good players...but I think they're top heavy in their lineup. ESPECIALLY when they come to STL. Saltalamacchia will start at C..so that means they have to either take Napoli or Ortiz out of the lineup. I think if the Cardinals can steal one in Boston....that will be HUGE. Thankfully we have our best two pitchers going.
I don't really understand the "momentum" thing you're talking about...in 2004 I'd agree..they came back past the Yankees down and flew past the Cardinals..but this year...I don't get it. They won in 6 just like the Cardinals did.
Did I mention Allen Craig is back?

We are going to have to wait and see before making this claim. Let it play out first.

Have to put money on Kirk Gibson.
The coaching staff situation in Zona presents the best opportunity for Gibson to return to Tiger Town. I believe Leyland wanted Gibson to be his successor.
Also could mean the return of Alan Trammell to the organization but as a coach.
Plus the DBack brass want Matt Williams to eventually be their manager.

I know what I saw with the Sox as they almost got no-hit. My mini-analysis was based off postseason observations.

Trammell was already the manager of the Tigers and lost the most games in team history
LOL

Oh yeah
We'll have to see how this plays out. Maybe Matt Williams will want to keep him.

I don't think so. They will get the hype, and all the boston bandwagon fans are back out. I hate that.
Yeah that is a good point about their fans. I'm an NL guy anyway. It's weird, I don't know who I'm going for until the games start lol.
The Cards are apparently the underdogs according to Vegas while the Red Sox are heavy favorites.
