Plus Cobb has been a superb pitcher; he didn't lose a step after spending time on the disabled list.

The Pirates may have swept the Reds in the season finale but in this +1 matchup, it wont matter if they lose this game.

STARTERS

Johnny Cueto

5-2, 2.82 ERA

Francisco Liriano

16-8, 3.02 ERA

Reds are my "1A" team, hoping for a W but they really sputtered the last 10-or-so games. I just don't see them scoring more than 2 runs off Liriano. Even if they do somehow pull out a win, I think either them or the Pirates are just punching their ticket to go get wupped by StL.
Pirates strike first with a pair of bombs from Byrd and Martin.
Pirates padding.
4-1 Pirates

There was a no-no going but that was not going to hold up past 5.

Too bad Liriano will only get to face the Cards once. He's completely dominated them this season.
Marlon Byrd 2 ribbies.
Did the Reds literally give up in this 5 game set against the Pirates?
The Dusty Baker curse lives on. Thank goodness the Giants replaced him.
Go pirates!!
