Wow! What a beautiful header by Van Persie. So difficult to do and so perfect

Pique has been terrible for at least 2 years...I think since he got hitched to Shakira - he has been distracted and who can blame him. But, it's been two years - time to focus on football again.
Ramos was really good as a full back, but IMO - he doesn't have the instinct to be consistent at CB. You can't make mistakes at that position. Puyol was almost perfect technically but neither Pique nor Ramos are on that level.
Both Xavi and Alonso should not be starters for Spain. Their bench has too much talent at those positions.

Tim Cahill is clearly over the hill at 34. Clearly that unnamed player left off the US squad was undeserving as well.

Chile is up 2-0, but it has been very quiet here in Santiago for the 30 minutes. I
My cable is down, so I can not watch the game. I might have to go to a bar for the 2nd half.

I don't understand why Chile stepped off the gas after the 2-0 lead. I hope they come out on their game in the 2nd half. I need to see a 4-1 game.
