FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 THREAD

Yea I love this German team. I thought they were going to win the 12 euro. They're definitely the most cohesive team in the tournament. I have a slightly different perspective though. I think if Portugal plays this badly against the US we could sneak out a win. I think that's just wishful thinking though.

So far the top teams in the tournament have been Italy, Holland, Brazil, and Germany.

I'm not quite ready to count Spain out. If they make it to the round of 16 anything is possible. Del Bosque made a horrible decision by taking off a DM and switching to the more attacking 3 3 4. I think they're too pro to not be able to put it all back together and make a run.

Eh, Brazil looked ok. That game deserved a tie. I didn't catch the Italy game, but I'm not sold on the Dutch yet. Germany is already in top form, which should scare the s**t out of everybody.
coworker said germany finna win it all..

hard to watch a whole match.. i tried to get into the france/honduras game yesterday but i couldn't

i'll watch USA later doe

If reports out of Natal are to be believed, the United States Men's National Team could have upwards of 22,000 fans packed into the Arena das Dunas for Monday's clash with Group G rival Ghana.

that wasn't the best choice, Honduras had the worst game of any team in the WC so far. Italy v. England was entertaining throughout.
This is great news for the US, if we win against Ghana and just draw Portugal... we basically are assured 2nd place in the group.

yep its what i was hoping for. beating ghana with a nice goal differential and then getting at minimum getting a draw with portugal
Some people have too much time on their hands but this is pretty damn cool

Wow the Portuguese are hesitant as f**k. Take a damn shot lol
^^^ That's really cool.

Lol at "nice goal differential" vs Ghana. Let's just hope for a W.

Lets also hope for fair officiating. Something that hasn't happened our last 3 World Cup Appearances.

Indeed. I think Brazil has the potential and I doubt they're going to under perform as the host nation. Just a slow first match for Spain and Brazil. Definitely not the end of it.

Will see about the Dutch. Robben and Van Persie are difference makers but then way Spain played is not indicative to how good Holland
I don't think the ref would've been out of line for giving a yellow card to ronaldo. You can't screem at an official like that.
