any reason to watch the Iran/Nigeria game?
Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses are two good reasons to pay attention to Nigeria.
they really need to get together and step their game up in the second half, this game is screaming for someone to step up and take over and they're the ones with the skill to do so.

and Nigeria isn't doing much with their possession either. Hell, Iran has had the best chance at goal thus far.

Pathetic. There are countless teams that would put up a better showing than Iran who are sitting at home right now.

Like it or not Iran got in through a 5 round qualification process.

I agree. Wish the pass from Emenike was better to Musa. That'd have been an easy goal if placed in front of him. Hoping to see a little more out of these 2 and hope Emenike starts playing well also. They should have already been on the board, but they're sitting there 0-0 right now.Originally posted by vrabbit:Originally posted by Travisty13:Originally posted by MrOrange:any reason to watch the Iran/Nigeria game?

Third time's the charm? The 2010 loss in the round of 16 wasn't completely unexpected but it still burns a little.

This is going to be a great test for us. Ghana knocking us out the past 2 World Cups. I think this new coach made the best decision for the team. Donovan is 32, not as fast. Older. Even though he's considered the best American Soccer player to ever play, youth takes over in the end. Reminds me of Harbaugh's philosophy with competition. I wonder if we had our last coach, who was American, would he have cut Donovan?

true, it's a complicated setup that Asia qualifying has, but it doesn't take away the fact that their teams just aren't very talented once you get past Japan, South Korea, and Australia (who made the switch from Oceania so they could get an automatic spot)

Bosnia is no slouch, but I agree....a weak, weak group. I think this group has been dubbed the group of life. Should be Argentina/Bosnia who go through.
