Do Cardinal pitchers have tommy john at a higher rate than other teams, or does it just seem that way?

Poor coaching is no joke either. Alex Reyes is going to be on the what could have been list. Hoping Jordan Hicks isnt going to join him.

Rosenthal. Then he came back from it with the Nats and couldn't throw a strike anymore. Just got released.

Long list of Cardinals.
Wainwright
Rosenthal
Reyes
Lance Lynn
Seth Maness
Marco Gonzalez
Now Jordan Hicks
Seems like Cardinals pitchers have TJ at a higher rate than other teams. Could just seem that way, but yeah.

Its probably because they only target guys who throw super hard. Higher chance those guys blow their arms out.

Or because their coaching staff is unable to identify mechanical flaws that lead to injuries?

I don't think it's something mechanical fixes can change, its more just the way they throw the ball entirely. Stephen Strasburg has a horrible throwing motion for his arm. A big reason why hes been injured so much. When you've made the big leagues throwing a certain way, its not always realistic to change your delivery entirely.
The Cards built their bullpen with a strategy of power arms. At one point nearly every guy in their pen threw 100 mph. Those guys are just more likely to blow out their arm, which probably made them stand out in that area.

The Yankees have a homerun derby every night. That lineup is sick and then they get to play 1/2 their games in a bandbox like Yankee Stadium. They really should trade Frazier for Bum. They dont need him anyway.

Hope he gets lit up. LOL Nothing personal. But contrary to what one uninformed poster thinks I am really a Dodger hater and not a Dodger lover.
