It WAS a fad. Just stating a fact. I never said I didn't like it. I do prefer the Phillies current set of home pinstripes and road grays though.

There are 71 players who already have 20+ HR's this year.

In 2001, 41 players had 30+ HR. This season we will likely see more than that, which is nuts.

Baseball let the PED users save the game with big offensive production, then crucified them when the public found out. Now they've successfully replicated PED scoring production with the new balls, and they're thrilled about it. So it was never about "tainted" records. MLB doesn't give a crap about the playing field in relation to their records. They just want to increase revenue without making the fans feel like they've been watching cheaters.

The irony is the juiced balls are probably going to end up being the biggest advantage in history, and the biggest factor of skewing records that weve seen.
