All good

I just said that because after breaking the all time MLB season HR total record last year, they're on pace to break that number by 1,000 this year. It's out of control.

PED's were cheating, these balls are not, but they're producing the same results, which will topple all time records all the same.

One is a cheater and one is a benefit to a change.

It's no different than hockey changing their rules so more scoring occurs. Doesn't mean players are penalized.

I'm not worried about the homers. I hate the lack of hit and runs, steals, small ball, all the shifts, bunts, and all the strike outs.

Right, but the main reason everyone was upset by steroids was that it was ruining baseballs' sacred records. Regardless of whether it was cheating or different balls, the records will be blown away further. I just think its hypocritical on the highest level for baseball to be altering the sport like this for profits, considering the way they reacted to PED's.

Im not even sure were arguing the same subject here. Im not defending steroids, im criticizing baseball.

PEDs in baseball went way beyond some guys on their couch being angry. The government got involved...

Juiced balls makes it an even playing field and doesnt affect society. They are just dumb for trying to lie about it.

Again, im criticizing Major League Baseball. Im not saying PED's were ok, or that the juiced balls are cheating. MLB was on their high horse about PED's ruining the integrity of the old records, and now they're directly influencing them on purpose.
To go along with why baseball is different in a not so good way...position players have pitched 78 innings this year so far. That's a new record and an 875% increase from 2011.

Starters average a full inning less work than in 2011 or beyond as well. Down to 5 innings from 6.

Back then, 39 starters threw 200 innings in a year. This year mlb is on pace for 15.

For the first time this century relievers ERA is higher than starters

Also, even though some think the ball is "juiced" Mlb will set an all time low for singles, doubles and triples.

Oh and stolen bases.

Basically baseball is homers or strikes outs with bad pitching.

I agree with the main point. Bullpens are being overused leading to them tiring out. That said, the average start stat is skewed a good bit by the opener tactic becoming more prevalent. The real starter then counts as relief.

f**k ending games due to rain.
The Verlander!
9 IP 11 SO no walks
2 batters away from a perfect game
Lost 2-1

Maybe they should move the pitching mound back UP?

Tigers announcers talked about how it's a combo of many factors.

The ball is harder and the cover is smoother.

It's harder for pitchers to rough it up like they used to, not as much break on a curve ball. A harder smoother ball has less drag while flying through the air at 100 mph. Pitches are faster, hits are harder.

Per their sources avg per testing an MLB ball hit at the same bat speed can go 8-10 ft further than a non MLB ball. See the AAA league # of HR now using the MLB ball. No one can dispute it.

Also the bats are harder, higher launch speeds.

Major League baseballs have an average mass of 5.125 ounces, and a 90-mph fastball can leave the bat at 110 mph. Extrapolating Newton's second law of motion, Russell determined that, in a collision lasting less than one-thousandth of a second, the average pro swing imparts 4145 pounds of force to the ball.
Science, f**k yeah!

The laces are laying much flatter now, and new technology allows them to center the pill inside the ball, which both reduce drag.
Over the past month and a half or so, Jack Flaherty had been the best pitcher in baseball and it isnt really close.

and still not even the best pitcher from his high school in the majors this season. That would be Lucas Giolito.
