You cant possibly believe the Nationals right now are the same team from last year minus Bryce right?

Addition by subtraction.

Damn, obscurity to infamy in the blink of an eye...he's young, hopefully he goes on to have a good career not defined by one play.

Eh, was just the WC game, not the WS. The game would've been tied regardless.

Soto lucky the Brewers didn't score in the top of the 9th. The f**k is he doing going to 3rd there to end the inning? He would've been at 2nd w/ 2 outs.
What a brutal play on that Soto hit.
RF gotta make that play but lets not act like it entirely his fault, he wasnt the dude who loaded the bases and gave up a hit, if he makes that play two runs still score and the game is tied. Big bad Hader choked

Probably too busy celebrating to pay attention to what he should be doing on the bases.

Lol at the time I was like are you f**king kidding me guy lost his mind? Then I heard Juan Soto is 20 years old and frankly I am not surprised. That's a hindsight thing. If they had lost by 1 he'd look like an idiot, they won no one even cares about the fact he completely lost his composure.

I blame Puig for igniting this culture of over celebrating before the play is even over. Its just plain stupid to lose focus mid play.

So what if would've been tied, it was still his error that allowed eventual winning run to score in a season-ending game. And sure "just" the WC and not WS, but still a spotlight moment, tough fallout for any player let alone 22-yr old rookie. But credit to him, from postgame comments I read, he stood there and faced the music, didn't make any excuses. Like I said, hope he bounces back strong.

This 2019 Nats team is no where close to the same team they were in 2018.

-Patrick Corbin. His addition gave the Nats one of the best 1-3s in baseball.
-Stephen Strasburg had a his first fully healthy season since 2014. He threw 80 more innings this year than last.
-Juan Soto playing a full season.
-Michael Taylor going from being a disappointment in a full time role in 2018 to a bench player in 2019.

Saying addition by subtraction or making some sort of claim that Bryce wouldnt have made this team even better is ridiculous. The 2018 Nationals was a totally different team than the 2019 Nationals, even if you dont include Bryce.
Go rays
Kevin Cash out there looking like Bochy with those moves.
