***2024 MLB Regular Season Thread***

Hope they do away with the 3 batter requirement and keep the DH out of the NL. One rule change to increase pace of play: relievers can only warm up in the bullpen. Imagine if in the NFL they cleared the field when a backup comes in so he can practice a bit to get ready that would be stupid. Do away with this.

Dude, I have been saying this for f**king years!

It makes zero sense to me why a pitcher gets all the time in the world to warm up in the bullpen, and then needs 8 more pitches on the field before the inning resumes. Give him 2 pitches so he can feel out the mound. Dont go to commercial break. That would cut down at minimum 10 minutes every game. And with the way most games are managed these days, it likely cuts down much much more than that.

This lockout is gonna be a challenge I heard that one club was telling folks not to worry about reporting for spring lol. Not a good sign right there. These labor disputes are tricky in good times. With the revenues contracting in 2020 it is not good times, not even close...

Pace of play changes aren't working. The games today are even longer than they were 20 years ago.

A roided up DH goes in over the home run king, hit king and a 7 time Cy Young award winner. Why cuz he was a congenial guy? Is it the hall of congeniality? I will never visit or support the HOF in any way shape or form it's pathetic.

Yup, it's a crock of s**t. It was okay for baseball and the owners to make billions off of these roided up dudes when baseball was exciting as hell but then they're gonna ostracize them for doing what made the game relevant again? It's all hypocrisy and b******t by the writers and MLB.

It's all a shame, they're probably the most corrupt sport in the nation but they get a pass because they're "America's past time." I want nothing more than to see Manfred and baseball fall apart.

Yep, look ortiz's stats before he ended up in the Mitchell report...Also had his best year as a fat 40 year old. Had to retire because it was getting to obvious . But he was a nice guy to the media, so in he goes..joke
