I don't really see an agreement happening soon.

Yeah these are tough in good times and the leaguewide hit of 2020 with Owners getting demo'd means it isn't good times. Will there be a season is the question and what will it look like?

Apparently the MLB has told the MLBPA that they have until the 28th to come to terms on a deal for the season to start on time

Couldn't blame the previous regime for their lack of financial success anymore. Lol
MLB went from the talks were productive to we could miss a month of games in the last day.

Progress is great. Previous meetings have been 10-15 minutes and they just left. Please get it done.

good. 14 teams is too many and takes too long. Cold weather baseball is stupid.

Its a no brainer on raising the minimum salary. Longest season of all sports and least amount of league minimum.

Shorten the pre-season by a week while you're at it. Way too long.

I dont even particularly like 12 teams.

I predicted this outcome a while back. Negotiations are tough in good times and after 2020 it is not good times. Owners were in the red and players took fractional pay. Of course now it turns the other way as opening day appears delayed and games will likely be missed. Players naturally want to play and owners it won't take long for them to panic once the games and revenue start to disappear.
