Saw something earlier about a group of players combining funds to help stadium workers (who are out of $ and don't have the kind of $ players do).

Pretty cool.

They shouldn't have to. The cheap ass billionaires should be helping their f**king employees during this mess. It's a nice thing to do but it's still gonna be hard for those workers to be okay during this unless they get a new job.
Honestly I just cannot get excited for any kind of truncated season. Really sad. I was very much looking forward to a summer of baseball again.

We should be watching Spring Training baseball.

I really think as we get closer to missed games owners will start to panic that's when a deal will get done. We may miss some games but once that happens they'll be begging for a deal. No one wins from missed games not fans, owners or players. It's like mutually assured destruction.

The owners are fine. The players will panic because they aren't getting paid.

Dodgers hoping for another 60 game season.

Well, I agree but. The sport is awash with money, mainly television money. Millionaires versus billionaires and the poor sods who are suffering are the working men and women who support it and pay their share. They don't have a voice in the proceedings but the billionaires and the millionaires will expect them to rush back and throw their hard earned wages at them when it's over and they go back.

Great to support the stadium workers.

If you're a player do you take an unpaid one month vacation if it means a stronger $$$ deal. Of course. Realize players didn't lose money in 2020. They made less (prorated) but still earned dollars. Owners were in the red. Owners will be in the red again with missed games.

I think it all depends honestly. If the season is 130-140 games, I sincerely doubt you will have lost excitement because of the missing 20-30 games.

However, if its a sham 60 game season like the covid season, I totally hear you and agree with you.

Miss one game and some fans on the fence with a full slate will turn their back on the game guaranteed.

Lol I'm sure every Team President does but Samson's rants on him are always amazing. I think he blames him a lot for Jose Fernandez's death though which I don't blame him for if what he said on LeBatard is true.

That and also after Jose died, he was cold blooded and pretty much dropped contact with the family (according to Samson)
