Miggy's 3k hits also comes with a .300 BA and the homers. Only like 3 players ever in that club.

yep. 1 more double for 3k hits, 500 hr, 600 doubles. only 3 have ever done that.

Hasn't batted over .300 the last 5 years and still has a career .310 avg

Cabrera's 3,000 hits have come in 9,665 at-bats, resulting in a .310 career batting average that is the best among active players. Miggy's membership in the .300 batting average / 3,000 hit / 500 homer club is safe -- he'd have to go 0-for-his-next-352 to drop below .300.

lol

I'd like to know how many of his hits have been outside the strike zone. Dude is just one of the best pure hitters of all time.

While Cabrera batted eighth in his aforementioned MLB debut, he quickly became a trusted middle-of-the-order bat. Roughly 92 percent of his career hits (2,770) have come while batting either third or fourth in the lineup. With that said, Cabrera does have at least one hit in each lineup slot, including exactly one in the leadoff spot (a pinch-hit single last July 7).

Also, props to him for staying in Detroit all those years. Wish more players stayed with teams that long. Its just a better sounding legacy to me when a city loves and identifies with a player.

Yeah pretty cool. They said he's still 6th all time on the Marlins hit list and hasn't played there in 15 years. lol

Insane

at the very least, show their "stats" before the game, the way they do for players. Might make them try to be better. Because Angel clearly doesn't care about improving
Magical Mets!

To be fair, Detroit paid him 8/152 and 8/248 in back to back deals. Committing 16 years and $400 million to a guy after age 27 is going to keep him around.

I don't get why he still has a job this has been going on for years. Jomboy's breakdown said it was the union I'm not sure if he was being serious or not. If there really is some all powerful umpire union keeping him behind home plate then what MLB should do is appeal to the union to have Hernandez removed. Put the union in the uncomfortable position of having to defend this bs. Everyone can see how bad he is it's going viral.

Ya MLB union is very powerful for Umps. Outside of him doing something illegal to cost his job, it doesn't matter how much he continues to suck.
