Congratulations to Dusty Baker for getting his 2,000th win as a manager. As an A's fan I can't stand the Astros, but I have a lot of love for Dusty.

A legend and personal fav

The Giants would have 1 more WS title if he hadnt blown the 2002 WS. Will never forget or forgive

Forget what? Ortiz was fine but no ace. He gave up back to back singles and threw 98 pitches. He was done. It was the right move.

Baker is the reason the giants didnt win the world series. Not a fan. Never will be.

4 of the 7 games were decided by 1 run. 1 clutch hit could have won it. lol at blaming the manager.

he was the worst at managing pitching staffs. Always been criticized for it in his career. If you watched the series you would know. And he had amazing players during his time with the giants but always mishandled the pitching.

That's cool and all but the Angles had two clutch hits. A 3 run HR in game 6 and a 3 run double in game 7.

Kinda hard to blame the pitchers for leaving 15 guys on base in two games.

If the Gs got those two clutch hits they win.

It's science.

Sometimes you lose. Taking your starter out with 98 pitches and he's not an ace and has never been an ace it's 100% the correct call. The team had better relief at the time than starters, including a HOF closer. Bullpen has to hold up a 5-0 lead they didn't. They built those teams backwards with elite hitting and not much pitching. In a historical sense it's probably good they took the L as it forever would have had an asterisk attached anyway. The 2010 club would have beaten this club soundly as defense wins championships and good pitching trumps good hitting. By soundly I mean by one run as that's how the 2010 club operated..
Holy hell the reds are bad.
