how could he be out that long? That's nuts...

Ask Glasnow.. it's about an 18 month recovery.. because we are mid season.. that means he's done all this year and likely all next year. Glasnow was pitching as well as anyone and about 1 year ago he went down.. not projected back this season...

Here's SP Mike Clevinger on the topic, he had his first start since 2020 about 1 month ago:

"I wasn't sure I was going to pitch again," Clevinger said Wednesday, his voice cracking as he choked back tears. "So this is big."

They said his ligament isn't torn. They said it's not responding, whatever that means. So they feel surgery is best.

Everyone is different.

I posted on the last page Tigers Alex Faedo came back after 15 months.

Yup.. it's by no means career ending or limiting once recovered.. least doesn't have to be.. Rodon had TJ in May 2019... in April 2021 nearly two years later.. threw a no hitter. Balled out all of 2021 to earn his payday.

Yeah what an awful 2 strike pitch. I get not wanting to go full, but he couldnt have put it in a worse spot.

The two pitches before this were on the outside where the catcher was setting up again. Just missed his spot and Stubbs made him pay
Another no hitter broken up in the 9th. This time with 1 out. Nice job Ohtani...screw the Dodgers.
LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (personal)

Expected return: TBD
The Tigers placed Rodriguez on the restricted list after he informed them he would not be rejoining the team due to personal reasons. Manager A.J. Hinch told MLB Network Radio on Tuesday morning that Rodriguez is OK and at home in Florida with his kids. He had been on the 15-day injured list with a left rib cage strain, but he tossed four scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in a rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on June 9. -- Jason Beck (Last updated: June 14)

We see some bad teams stepping into some bad contracts..

they owe this guy about $15 mil annual thru 2026.. although he appears to be doing his best to get out of the contract..

Baez has an AAV around $22 mil.. here's his line.. .190 avg / .232 obp / 0.0 war
Yankees are ridiculous, up 10-1 in Toronto.
