One thing I learned from the playoffs is how good the Rays are at developing young pitchers, Price, Davis, and Shields from these playoffs.

I hope history repeats this year.Originally posted by rodbeezy:I wonder what a few days rest will do to the Royals. 2012 Tigers swept, had a few days off....and the rest is history.

You guys realize that the Royals are only gonna have one more day of rest than the Giants will have had when the World series starts?

Royals don't want rest though. I was thinking last night...regardless if it was Giants or Cardinals, I'd want it to go 7 games. That way the Royals are just sitting around losing momentum and SF/STL just won a big Game 7.

The Royals clinched Wednesday, The Giants Thursday. The Giants will have one less day of rest than the Royals. Layoff is pretty equal for both teams. Both teams are hot, the team that scores the most runs will win

Could not happen like that, though. 1 team could win one game 12-1, and the other could win 4 games 2-1. Boom.

Its going to be a dog fight
Looking at it objectively, I got to think the Royals are favorites to win
They are a complete team top to bottom with an absolutely filthy bullpen
But they are going against the magical Giants
You could argue that this royals team is the worst team in terms of talent as far as world series opponents go. (Rangers, tigers, respectively) That's saying something because the Royals got Talent.
It's going to come down to the starters and I thinks that's where the giants have the edge, but the Royals over all seems like the better team on paper

better roster doesn't equal winner, if so this WS would be Angels-Dodgers. Experience wins out in these playoffs more often than not and that's where the Giants flat out own the Royals. I said it in the Giants' thread and I'll say it here, I have no doubt the Giants are gonna win the WS.
