To the extent that it is a great milestone for Albert Pujols to achieve, I am happy for him.
To the extent that it matters for me, it doesn't. If he were chasing Barry Bonds' career home-runs record I would be more interested.
That said, I am rooting for Judge to break Roger Marris' Yankees club record, 62 may not mean much anymore, but it is still meaningful.
I think a lot of people see it as the true record still.
I agree—but be careful saying that around here. You're going to make a lot of people angry lol.
Yeah, who gives a s**t? The single season homer run record is tainted as is the all time one. I am no Yankee fan, at all, but I wish Judge the best of luck in his pursuit of it.
Whats ridiculous is the fans who think they know for a fact what is tainted and what isn't. Baseball history is filled with cheating and uneven playing fields. Thinking the record books were pristine, and then got tarnished by the PED era is delusional. People need to get off their self righteous high horse and get over it. MLB knew about PED's and let it happen. Its official in the books and always will be.
Funny how nobody has any problem with NFL players who used PED's. How many Super Bowls in the 80's and 90's were won with guys who were using drugs and PED's? Nobody whines about those years being tainted for some reason.
