Took dusty 3 times? to get that monkey finally off his back. Congrats to him, He should've got that 1st one long ago though
Too bad he ran into the buzzsaw that was the Anaheim Angels of Anaheim of the Los Angeles which is Spanish for Angels Angels
Is it a buzzsaw when you're up 3-2 in the series and have a 5-0 lead late in game 6? Dusty just made the wrong move and it cost us the WS.
Sir N99, how exactly was it the wrong move? Revisit the moment. 7th inning, he threw 98 pitches, he just allowed back to back hits.. who on earth leaves him in? No one.
I said this at the time, and I still believe it. Either Dusty should have left him in the game, or he should have never started the inning to begin with.
Also, 98 pitches isnt a ton. If 98 pitches was a factor in taking him out at that point, then why is he allowed to start the inning in the first place?

He certainly shouldn't have handed him the game ball in from of the entire Angels team and crowd.

Everything happens for a reason. 20 years later it made it all that much sweeter for ol Dusty. Our 2002 team would forever have the * attached. We had our even year run. It all worked out

I forgot about the 2002 WS the minute the Giants won in 2010.

Yanks off-season prediction
Judge resigned 8 yrs 36 yearly
Benintendi resigned 4 yrs 14 yearly
Sign
Trea Turner to play 2nd or 3rd, him and DJ either position
6 yrs 28 million yearly
Sean Manea fits in at a 2 or 3, makes Montas or German long man out of the pen. 3 yrs 45 million
Trades
Gleyber Torres, Lucas Luetge, Aaron Hicks 3.5 million yearly off his 10 million yearly amount, Deivi Garcia and Antonio Gomez for Cal Raleigh and Jarrad Kelenic ( mariners sign Contreras to C, get a 4th OF in Hicks, a old future top prospect Garcia and a young developmental C in Gomez)
I personally think Cal Raleigh is the next Salvador Perez
Donaldson traded or told stay away like Ellsbury, just accept the failure or dock cashmans pay lol
IKF for PTNL I guess lol
25 man roster for 2023
C Cal Raleigh
1st Anthony Rizzo
2nd DJ Lemaihu
SS Oswald Peraza ( Volpe starts at triple A and is DJs future replacement at 2nd )
3rd Trea Turner
RF Aaron Judge
CF Harrison Bader
LF Andrew Benintendi
DH Giancarlo Stanton
Bench
Jose Trevino
Oswald Cabrera
Jarred Kelenic
SP
Gerrit Cole
Nestor Cortez
Sean Manea
Luis Severino
Frankie Montas
BP
Domingo German
Ron Mariciano
Wendy Peralta
Lou Trevino
Zach Efross
Jonathan Losiaga
Micheal King
Clay Holmes
My envisioned lineup
Benintendi
Turner
Judge
Rizzo
Stanton
DJ
Raleigh
Bader
Peraza
Difficult who leads off, Benny ? DJ ? or Bader ?
Good thing is last year was not starting pitching that was bad, it was the BP hurt in the postseason, injuries to contact hitters for the postseason which equaled to no runs, this mock offseason I believe I filled the needs very well, cutting bait with Donaldson, Hicks and IKF and totally upgraded with contact hitters for the bombers to get home.

The Rangers have now given $685 million dollars to Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, and Jacob deGrom in the last 2 seasons.
